The start

I know there are those that do not care for Aaron but I personally like him. I did enjoy the start of Renata and Max, from her loss to them finding each other. The interaction over years before she finally admitted she loved him and fighting against her revenge to kill a Grigori. It was a great story.

Beautiful story and wonderful narration

Ms. Hunter’s books are always wonderful. I love the tone and narration for this one. (Although hearing Max without a Russian accent and Renata without Italian was a bit disconcerting at first). Highly recommend this edition to the prior Irin books.

Love takes time

Both of these characters deserved their own book… It was wonderfully done and proves that time and love can create something wonderful. It was also nice to see both of the characters grow and their acceptance.
