Fun and twisty!

This is not my typical read. I typically go for hard Sci-Fi or Fantasy but I had seen the author on Facebook in another author's group and he cracked me up on the regular. When he asked for reads, I jumped at it.

The book is funny and engaging, it had me wanting to keep listening even when I didn't have the time. It is short and it left me wanting more. I'm hoping it was planned as a prequel to a larger series on the Terrorverse or on individual stories like this one.

The narrator was rough. I almost quit in the first 10 minutes, but the story started to grab me and I stuck around in spite of him. His style was like that of one long instruction manual. The cadence and intonation did not match the story at all.

LOVED THIS! Sweet references along the way

Thanks Dennis. I'm gonna need some more eventually. Keep on with the homages you snuck in there.

Well, color me surprised!

I got this book from the man himself, Dennis Freeman, who've I've gotten to know a bit through our shared love of another authors books. The first letter in said author's name is R... obert Bevan. I gratefully accepted this gift and promised an honest review in return. It was not what I expected. It was way beyond that... in a good way.

This short story left me wanting more. It's as simple as that. The references to know Horror Icons and in my opinion Robert Bevan's effed-up universe of Caverns and Creatures was delightfully inserted into this way too short story. I'm going to utilize my (probably non-existent) influence over Dennis and urge him to keep 'em coming in the Terrorverse and even stretch them into full fledged novels with short stories skillfully woven in among them.

The narrator did an ok job, though I had to speed him up to 1,15 to make it better for my taste.

You don't have to be an aficionado of teenage-cabin-horror movies to love this book. I'm a walking proof of that. Highly Recommended!

Cool story

The narration is a bit robotic, but the story is fun. It's a quick story, good during a commute.

Listened on a whim, has me wanting more.

Fun short story with an unexpected twist at the end. Wish it could have been longer but I’m looking forward to more content in the future within this terrorverse.

It's not an anomaly

A hilarious mix of horror tropes, new ideas, and engaging characters. For something so short, it's well worth a few listens to catch all the fun little details.

If you want a quick, fun little exploration into the horror genre, this is the audiobook for you.

Great intro to the terrorverse

I can’t wait for more stories that take place in this universe created by Dennis. The humor was great and I didn’t expect the ending I got but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hopefully the first of many

It is difficult to review without spoiling, but if you're a fan of classic horror movies, the Terrorverse is fantastic. The narration felt forced at first, but after about 10 minutes it either started to flow better or I was just too into the story to notice. I was truly disappointed when I reached the end just because I wanted more. I can't wait for more Terrorverse and will have to restrain myself from harassing the author for more!

A great start to a series

The Terrorverse: slasher survivor school is something else. I was a bit sceptical about it when i first started but that all changed about 2 to 3 chapters in and by the end of it my mind was begging for more. its a bit rough around the edges but i believe if this series continues it will be right up thair in my favorites. Its a unique take on the horror genre that will have you wanting nore by the end of it.
