About this listen

Prequel Novelette to the Star Child, Places of Power Series.

For generations, a nameless man has been passed down through Cane's family - one who never seems to age, remembers the stories of old, and knows the depths of men's hearts.

On the outside, Cane's family appeared to be simple fishermen. Yet when he turned 18 and his life entwined with the nameless man forever, Cane learned they were far more than he could imagine. And as they are hunted while pursuing hidden secrets, Cane's life enters turmoil, where nothing is clear.

But one thing is certain, says the nameless man.

The world will soon change forever.

I listened to this book after the first one, because i didnt find it till then. But it sort of works no matter which one you listen to first of the two. Personally it helped me to shed a new light on charaters i thought i already knew.

Wow and Wow

Picked this audiobook up when on sale and I got an awesome intelligent audiobook with very likable characters. Will Watt’s narration enhances the story and characters.

The World Building

Huge props to the author for his ability to build this world, 3 books in and this novella, nothing feels forced or like an afterthought. Some series can feel like they make it up as they go, but this author really makes you feel like he saw the entire story start to finish.
