About this listen

We played our roles, told each other lies. But now Dylan is no longer just a mysterious deep voice on the other end of the line. We're face-to-face, and our relationship is very, very real.

We still have secrets, but so much is crystal clear: the thrilling danger. The raw, naked desire. The need to keep feeling the way he makes me feel. Forever.

Dylan is putting up walls, trying to keep me safe, but he can't shut me out. He has seen my darkness and rescued me. Now it's my turn, if only he will let me.

Contains mature themes.

character development

I always enjoy a book that's spicy. I like ones that contain good character development the most. Dillon definitely evolves, but in an "easy to swallow " way. Annie doesn't always do what I wish she did, but she never let's the reader down either. I enjoyed this Audible choice very much.

Great for a rainy day

These books are deep and sad with HEA ending. Lots of inner monologue. I don't normally like the female narrator of this book because her voice is so somber and serious. For this book, it worked. If it is raining and you need to chill and feel, or you have sad pms, these book are perfect.

I had to shed tears to get the cathartic release

Ok, whenever I write a review I feel like I ramble because my feelings and emotions are all over the place while I sort thru them.

I was absolutely wrung out for both editions of this duo but am so glad I had the chance to experience this journey with Annie and Dylan. Expertly written and expertly told and the knots in the pit of my stomach were the best companions to have.

Road to love.

I was reminded of the ways that I had been broken and survived. Ahh, learning to trust and open up. I had no idea the depth of which this book would get me to look at myself.

You must read book one first.

Dylan and Annie

After the first book, I was expecting more struggle for these characters. While there are some internal battles, they develop into the people and couple they need to be. I liked it! Narration was great!

The truth about him...

I loved this story but I feel like it could have been 1 book instead of 2. This book felt like it had to much filler in it. The narration was great as usual and the story sucked you in. I lost sleep and listened to both in 1 day because i couldnt stop myself.

I wish it was better…

I did not like this book at all!!!
Annie was horrible in this book… I mean she got worse the end of last book but in this one I couldn’t stand her… I thought it was going to be Dillon’s story more than hers but it wasn’t so…

I wish smith wasn’t an afterthought in the story…

I just couldn’t connect here at all… Annie was manipulative, self centered, selfish and awful human who was only decent because life slapped her in the face 🙄

I’m going to read Max’s story I hope it’s worth it as I really enjoyed the first book… ugh
