In This Changes Everything Naomi Klein argues that climate change isn’t just another issue to be neatly filed between taxes and health care. It’s an alarm that calls us to fix an economic system that is already failing us in many ways. Klein meticulously builds the case for how massively reducing our greenhouse emissions is our best chance to simultaneously reduce gaping inequalities, re-imagine our broken democracies, and rebuild our gutted local economies.

The world you didn't know you were swimming in
In this comprehensive and engaging book, the author takes us on a tour through the history (mid-1800's, btw) and modern applications of plastics from clothes to medical implants. They are EVERYWHERE - in the places you least expect them. This well-researched treatment discusses the pros and cons of recycling and dispels many myths and much misinformation that's out there.
Highly recommended for the curious and concerned about our planet.

Audio book that everyone needs to listen!
This audio book is very well researched essay about one of the biggest pollution sources: plastic. It's something that too many people doesn't want to hear and a lot of people are not aware of it but we all should be! The audio book introduces the listener not only to all the types of plastic where they are used (including the list of biggest polluters in the world), and how much they contribute to pollution but also offers a number of solutions and what each individual or company can do to reduce or revert the plastic pollution. While it' very scary to realize that plastic is literally everywhere around us, that we eat, drink and inhale it, the book is presenting many ways to avoid using plastic and to reduce all the bad effects it has on us and our health and on our planet.
This is extremely serious problem and this audio book is definitely something all people need to hear. I really hope that we will all hear this and help our planet by doing as much as we can to reduce damage of plastic pollution. Pay attention to the chapter where you can learn how to help your planet!

I'm shocked!
I had no idea that using plastic was causing this much damaged in our planet. I really enjoyed how informative the author was, and his choice for the narrator. I felt Mitch's voice was perfect. I also liked how Simeon recommend ways we can help cut down on using plastic. I still can't get over how glass bottles are safer than using plastic bottles! However, it was mentioned that the glass can be covered to prevent an accident from happening.
Overall, I believe this book should be required in schools to help teach the new generation ways to help improve our world. There is no time like the present to start.

The New Silent Spring!
I have a doctorate degree in Plastics and totally agree with the author's perspectives and proposals. The world's oceans are suffocating under the scourge of plastic debris!
This audiobook provides an excellent succinct historical overview of the history of plastics and explains the different types of plastics giving examples of plastics we use daily. I was amused to recognize that I practice much of the suggested personal actions to minimize my personal exposure. I implore the reader to get this book and act for their own and family health.
With the information presented by Simeon Nikolov, I hope we all became more aware of our contribution to the plastic soup environmental catastrophe that is unfolding! This audiobook has information about how to protect oneself from the plastics that we all use daily. For example, I constantly berate my household about using plastic in the microwave. I even gift friends glass food storage containers and remove the plastic ones from their kitchens. I cannot tell you how grateful to Simeon for sharing this information to the large public to help to contribute to a healthier planet. Run and get your copy, now!

The dangers of plastic that you should know
My review of The Truth About Plastic is one that you definitely don’t want to miss. Author Simeon Nikolov has done an outstanding job of uncovering the truth behind the hidden dangers of plastic and how we can best protect ourselves from them. He starts off by flawlessly explaining the history of plastic production around the world and its environmental implications, as well as its effects on our health. However, he doesn’t stop there; He goes on to provide invaluable insight into what we can do to reduce plastic pollution and ensure our safety.
