About this listen

Discover the REAL reasons men cheat, and find out what you can do to prevent it!

M. Gary Neuman shares the findings of his extensive research with unfaithful husbands that turn the conventional wisdom about extramarital affairs on its head: It's not all about sex; he's not just a pig; she's not prettier than you; and he really does feel terrible about what he's done.

So why do men do it? Neuman reveals the emotional roots of male infidelity, explains how men experience and express their emotions differently from women, and lays out a simple series of actions you can take to ensure that your husband never strays. These steps help you build a deeper and more intimate relationship and a stronger, happier marriage that is more supportive and rewarding for both of you.

Don't sit there wondering if your husband will ever cheat on you. Listen to The Truth about Cheating and make sure he won't!

universal but not quite

the book was informative and it had a lot of the same information that I got from a local psychiatrist when I went to therapy so it's pretty much all point the narrated was kind of stiff as if it was like reading from a textbook but still the same beautiful information the only thing that really didn't work for me is how the examples of the story came off kind of not quite for someone of the "non-white" variety but, I guess you have to use your imagination to get to the point and slightly irritated that even though it's in the title they only addressed male infidelity as if female don't cheat .

Interesting Perspective

The narrator was not selected well. I pushed through this book to understand a different perspective. The book did not come together for me until the last chapter.

Every woman should read this.

This has been a really challenging read. It's not pleasant at all. It forces you to acknowledge that you may not be in such a pleasant mood all the time, and really just look at yourself. Great advice. Great stories. It makes men out to be really emotionally immature and for the most part puts a ton of responsibility to fix a marriage on women's shoulders. Hard pill to swallow for most I'm sure! But it's very true and real. It is of course a 2 way street at the end, but learning to be more thoughtful is always a good start to a happy marriage. I wish I read this years ago.

The Truth about Cheating: Why Men Stray and What Y

I think this book has been very helpful in my marriage. I've seen a change already in just a few days, using more appreciation and thankfulness. It's why I need to do it that made the shift in me to start, because I do really feel that way but never Made the effort just thinking he knows.

Practical guidance

A very practical book with a wealth of information. It was surprising to hear some of the statistics quoted, and the author clarified why the numbers were so high or low in those categories. The narration was excellent.
There were two points the author made very clear:

1. There is never an excuse for cheating. Suggestions for a more fulfilling marriage should not be taken as blaming the victim. The victim is not responsible for the affair.

2. This book is not a replacement for therapy. If there is cheating in the marriage, seek professional help in addition to applying the suggestions outlined in the audiobook.

Not Sure

So I had to stop and start this book several times. It certainly makes you (the women) think and reflect however I also felt that , like everything, was what the wife can do. The author says several times he is not putting it all on the woman but he is?! Equally a women has needs too and if equally distributed from both sides would a marriage become whole.
