About this listen

When the prize is death, some games are better lost than won.

If she loses, she becomes his queen, and he unleashes war across Earth and Tir n’Aill alike. If she wins, he dies. The answer seems clear. But then why can’t she bring herself to want victory?

The longer Abigail wanders through his Maze of Shadows, the less sure she becomes of anything—allies, enemies, wrong, right, evil, good, hate…and love. With every twist and turn, her heart is more fully trapped in his snare.

Facing the choice of whether to win—and kill the Bloody Prince—or lose and become his queen, Abigail can’t decide which is worse. In fact, she is starting to think that she might no longer want to win at all.

Wasn't Expecting That

After the end of book 2 I thought we would be getting strung along a bit further before anything happened between Abigail and Valroy. Wasn't expecting a BDSM romance but I maybe I should have. Now I am too invested in the story to care. I can't wait for the next book.

Who gives it 4 stars and a won’t continue?!?

Anyways, spicy as all hell! Dear mother Mary and baby Jesus! What the helm did I just listen to?!? The next one better be as or more spicy. Why else would I want to read about an unseelie fea?! Debauchery of course!

Mixed feelings

There was definitely more that happens in book 3, but I can’t help but think that books 2&3 should’ve been condensed down together. I enjoy it enough, but I did wish that it had been trimmed down and combined so it was a more concise story.

Great writing and Amazing Signal Narration for Multiple Characters. My second time listening to them and I know I will do it again and again

Won’t continue listening

Finally lots of spice in this book. Narrator really just keeps ruining it for me tho. Good story line but just can’t get over the narration.

Great story, terrible narration

This story was interesting, and I really want to keep reading it, but the narration is so bad that it makes my ears cry.

Some highs - some lows

I feel about this installment much the same as I did the last - great plot line and great characters….except for Abigail. Which is a problem, since she is the main character. I do love Valory and all of the side characters. They just get overshadowed sometimes by Abigail’s pinging ponging between self-righteousness and self-pity. (Sigh) Will I read the last book in the series? Yes. Will I ever truly feel satisfied by this series? I can’t see how.
