Publisher's summary

Vegas Rules, book seven:

Fresh from his victory in Reno, Sean's now in Las Vegas to fulfill his promise to help the lycans there with their own slavery problems.

Then there are all those magic users who come to sin city to play, and many of them play rough when it comes to both the lycans and the mundanes. While shutting down those casinos that won't see reason will help, Sean still has to figure out ways to help Roxy's father and the others in their quest to rein in the worst of the excesses. They may say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but the truth is, what happens in Vegas could very well send a notice to the rest of the nation councils that things are changing, and this lion plays for keeps.

Desperate Measures, book eight:

Things are starting to heat up for Sean and for some of his allies, as well. The Sacramento Vestibulum council is starting to act in ways that no one had anticipated, and the Gradatim national council is by no means standing idly by, either. When several of the councils decide to ban together in a move to eradicate Sean's followers and remove him, as well, Sean has no choice other than to try and teach them a painful lesson.

But those aren't all the problems that Sean now has to deal with. More and more people are counting on him as the days go by, and the burdens he must shoulder are quickly growing. Between the magical work he must do, the people he must lead, the battles he has to fight, and the money he needs to earn, Sean barely has time for his wives, much less himself these days. And if dealing with the magic users isn't enough, there are some very "mundane" issues on the horizon that he may soon find himself dealing with as well.

WARNING: The Valens Legacy: Publisher's Pack 4 contains explicit sexuality, nudity, violence, a guy who makes werewolves play fetch in the park for dog biscuits (they're really good biscuits, trust me; that's why they haven't killed him, yet), and a guy who just wants to send his daughter to the best cooking school in the country.

Hmmmm

dwarf got a bit annoying with the lion boy comments. Other than that I like the way the story is expanding and the new characters being added

so very good and I highly recommend it

I really am enjoying the story so far. The first part was pretty amazing which is the first six books which for the adios the first three audio publisher packs. the second Arc has been pretty good so far. the last part this pack had an interesting surprise show up although to be fair should have seen it coming. I really like the job that the narrator has done. I don't know if he does work somewhere else or narrates under another name but if he does hopefully someone will drop it in the reviews. he really has done a fantastic job helping to bring the characters to life.

Bit backwards, but good

My download was backwards. I got book 8 as chief 1-20, and book 7 as chief 21-41. I am not sure why it did that, but if it seems like you missed something, jump to check 21. Other than that, it was a good book.

Amazing Series!

This series just get better and better, I love this concept immensely. Lycanthropes have always been a near and dear concept and this series does it perfectly!

Still hooked

Overall I enjoyed this book much like the other ones. Destroying the enemy, saving his people, character building, town/home building, and bringing in side characters such as George and Stuart (I enjoyed reading about their progress).

I hope this series won't hurt itself by going longer than it should. Making a series into a cash cow ruins it for me because I feel like there'll never be any closure. I'll give it 2-4 more books before I start to lose interest I think.

Also I feel some of the sex scenes are just filler instead of having any bearing on actual story, most of the scenes in the later books can be fade to black. I only say this because after the in depth scenes we have with initial encounters and pregnancy, it just feels... redundant and taxing. The wives are strong characters already and their allure is now in what they offer the team. Maybe I'm weird, but in these later books I just skip the sex scenes now unless there's dialogue that furthers story development.

Overall, I'm still hooked into the story and enjoy the adventures taking place.
