About this listen

She is a telepathic priestess, determined to rise through the ranks of her temple. So why do her thoughts keep straying back to the masked commander?

Priestess Ferren has devoted her life to her celestial deity, yet she has not been able to ascend the priestess order. On the eve of a great planetary event, the chance to prove herself arises. She must accept the opportunity or succumb to a life of shame in the eyes of her temple.

The potentially deadly mission comes with several complications when she crosses paths with a commander from a rival planet. Ferren must conceal her loyalty to the temple from her new travel companion and his questionable crew. The longer she is in proximity to the mysterious commander, the more intrigued she becomes with his forbidden nature.

As the threat of a common enemy closes in, Ferren finds solace in the commander. While working together in the hope of saving their people, they forge a profound connection that tethers them in unexpected ways. Ferren must decide if she can go back to the stoic existence she once led when he has shown her a taste of the life she deserves.

The Viridian Priestess is a slow-burn but spicy romance. It ends on a slight cliffhanger with an HFN.

Solid World-building • Engaging Romance • Great Narrator • Intriguing Storyline • Anticipated Sequel

Romantasy at its finest but with a Mandalorian twist, Commander 99 is hot. The romance is believable and engaging. The world building is adequate and surely
will improve in the second book.

Can’t wait until the second book!

I thought the book was fun but I wish there had been a male voice actor for 99

A fun book!

I already loved this book. But the narrator took it to a new level. This was an amazing audiobook!

Amazing Narrator

Story was interesting. Loved the sci-fi element. However, the female narrator’s male voice wasn’t great. Hopefully they change that in the next one. Looking forward to the sequel!

Great listen

Loved the story! Narrator was great in general, but the voice used for the Commander was very offputting.

Really fun

I’ve been battling back and forth between a 3 and 4 star review. I landed on 3. It’s hard to quantify why, it’s just that overall it was kind of boring, saved by a very intriguing ending.

The romance was very insta-love. Yes, their circumstances made them “enemies,” kind of, but there was never much tension at all, and no real romantic stakes.

The storyline was pretty dry, but the concept is good. I guess I just wish it had been a bit richer, and had paced itself a bit better.

I enjoyed it enough that I will check out the next book when it comes out. But I won’t continue thinking about it in the meantime.

Additionally, my rating for the narrator was due to the fact that she tapers off her sentences so strangely, it becomes hard to hear or understand. Like it’s almost a mumble, if that makes sense. Also, it was hard to take her male voices seriously. It sounded like a person making fun of a man’s voice. It really made focusing on the book itself difficult.

Meh

The story, the characters, the worlds.. nothing I write here would probably do this book justice. My only complaint is the male voices Ms. Grey used were.. a little weird at first. I did get used to it and she definitely tried her best. I think having someone do the male voices while she does the rest would have worked better for a more immersive experience. I still highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the sequel. ❤️

Definitely my new favourite.

This was my Second listen and it’s still one of my favorite books right now. Only thing I wish was that there was a male reader for 99.

Can’t wait for book 2!

this book is a must read for fantasy romance lovers. Can't wait for book 2

Amazing

This book had everything going for it: Solid world building, good tension between the FMC and MMC, a FMC that has a backbone and a MMC without concerning Mysoginistic tendencies...and then the tension building clichés began. How many times can a couple be interrupted mid almost-kiss before you roll your eyes? And all of the sudden we're in high school with the dramatic inner monologs, the back and forth of being in a rage one minute and thinking about his muscles the next 🙄. Man that's a bummer. Only 3 hours left but I can't take anymore!

A great start
