Dark Fantasy - complex and compelling

The legends of Ansu are to be savoured. Complex characters, dark motives, cruel and clever, gruesome and gory. A fast paced tale that will immerse you in this world. Atmospheric and addictive, I have loved all the books in this saga and the Voyage of Carlo Sarfe is another great action-packed tale. Masterfully interpreted by Andrew McDermott whose brogue is perfect for this medieval sword and sorcery. Highly recommended for lovers of dark fantasy.

I didn’t want the book to end!

Within the legend of Carlo Sarf, the author has intricately woven several wonderful characters (the Journeyman being my favorite) who meet each other in a world I find fascinating! The mix of fantasy and reality, characters that show good and bad in their persona, good versus evil - all kept me listening! And I was so wanting the story to never end! And thank you to the narrator for bringing them characters to life!

Enjoyable

The Voyage of Carlo Sarfe: Sir Garland (Legends of Ansu Book 9), my nineth read from author J.W. Webb. Great characters, non-stop action, a great read/listen, written in the same style as the Corin an Fol tales. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing. Andrew McDermott’s excellent narration & accent again add to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
