About this listen

Get the Eve of Redemption: Books 1-6 bundle, featuring six action-packed books in an epic fantasy saga filled with magic, adventure, war, and legendary heroes.

When Citaria falls under the shadow of a demonic incursion, only a legendary hero can stop them.

For Karian Vanador, though, being resurrected comes with a price. Not only is she in a different time and place, but the world has changed in her absence, and she must face the dark demons of her past once again.

Partnered with allies who would've been her enemies in her past life, she must adapt to this new world and lead these young heroes to fulfill their potential - to stop a civil war being stoked by demonic influences. If they fail, Citaria may fall to a war that dwarfs the Apocalypse.

Don't miss this epic special edition omnibus and join Karian on the adventure of a lifetime. It's perfect for fans of Raymond E. Feist, R.A. Salvatore, and Bryce O’Connor.

Included in the set:

  1. Salvation's Dawn
  2. White Serpent, Black Dragon
  3. Serpents Rising
  4. Legacy of the Devil Queen
  5. The Huntresses' Game
  6. Preludes to War

the narrator was very flat in book one and I wasn't sure I'd be able to listen to her for 90 hours. fortunately I stuck with it and by book 2, she improved dramatically finally getting a range of different voices for the characters.

overall it's a good read. underneath it all it's about a story about family and what ties them all together. I really enjoyed how the characters constantly reevaluated their prejudices, growing in each book, finding ways to live, love and work together despite their differences.

I'm looking forward to the next installment and have added Joe Jackson to my default list of authors to read. Hopefully he will flesh out the stories of some of the lesser characters.

Starts slow but gets better with each book.

This is one of the best credits I've spent.
The story is good. I'm glad I found the collection. Otherwise, I would have spent more credits.
The narrator is good, so is the story.

This is a great, long listen.

I do really like all the characters, but really can’t help but to enjoy This female warrior, total boss babe perspective. Although some of this was clearly odd, not typical of a human female moments or scenes, especially within some of the interpersonal relationships. It was still passable as a female perspective when considering almost none of these characters are actual human people. But I’m still shaking my head at the scene where she just drops her robe and asks dude if he wants to be her kids daddy. Very unbelievable but, I’ll forgive it. Lol! I’m disappointed that this is not an ending to the story, I was hoping the 6 book set was going to wrap it up with a complete ending: not an intro to book 7. But it was still worth my time and I’ll probably find the rest.

The main character was very impressive

I don’t understand. The characters are constantly consumed by lust. People are falling in love after having a single conversation, thinking about a life and kids together after a one time sex encounter.

It is mind numbing. What sort of desperate people are these? If it was only at times where it fits it wouldn’t be as bad, but it’s like “oh just killed a bunch of enemies now let’s bang or now let’s dwell on our relationships”

Give me some backstory, give me training, give me explanation of magic and abilities, description of people as more than stereotypes. I get it everyone constantly gets naked and pounds each other weeee wooo so fun let’s get something substantive.

Why always constant lust consuming eveypne at all times?

I would have loved this book as a teen. Recommended for those looking for a epic magic fantasy with non-human MC.

Currently 2 books in and I will return this title
The characters are deep and the world is unique in a lot of aspects, but whatever I am looking for in a fantasy book just isn't there. Maybe its the DnD style magic where I was looking for more system-like, among other things.

Its for young adults

I had to make myself listen to the first book without quitting and returning the book set. However, I learned from other books that didn't grab me from the beginning; they did get better the further in I got. the same is true with this series.
Although this author is no Diana Gabaldon or other authors of that calibre, he isn't half bad.
What I found a bit frustrating was the fact it took me listening to several book to find out what Karian looks like. the first book mentioned wings. Another book stated she had a tale. Book six stated the color of her skin. Also, it doesn't say anything about how humans got to this world or when they arrived there. There are many holes in the book that you need to just move on from. unfortunately, this series ends at book 6 on Audible so the rest of the series you will have to read on your own.

Now, don't get me wrong. it was well done in format, flow, details and kept me going. Even though that is the case, it was missing something vital that I couldn't put my finger on. I can only guess it was missing a bit of mystic and surprise. I felt like I was able to guess the flow of events based on the pattern of events presented. I feel like the lack of surprise caused by all of the cliché the book used took away a lot of the entertainment value. I was invested in the first 6 books since they were a bundle, but now that I am done, I will not be continuing the rest of the series. I couldn't wait to finish so I could start a different book. I apologize if this sounds rude, but please take what I am saying with a grain of salt and as positive criticism. I will be trying other books by this author to see if their is a notable improvement. As for the voice actor/narrator, she was a solid choice even with her limited range of inflection and voices. I really enjoyed how little each voice changed, but it still was notably distinct for each of the characters. Please be sure to use her again as I want to hear her improve (along side you) with each new book you put out.

I just finished this 6 book bundle.
