About this listen

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

Bridget Merrow has almost everything a werewolf could wish for. And it's not that her awesome family and popular business aren't enough - she just wants someone to share it all with this Christmas. Too bad the someone she wants doesn't want her. Or does he?

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

I'm in love with Sam

who couldn't love Sam? He's a real stand-up guy who has a little bit of history, though not all his fault. Of course we all learn to love Bridget throughout the books. She's an awesome, pretty and strong lady. It's a really cute short story, I actually wish there had been more chapters for this one. But it's still nice little read and it goes along with the rest of the series.

Cute and Sweet

These two were inevitable but I didn't quite imagine that they would need quite the heart to heart.

really light and fun

sometimes to get to know someone and resolve the issues you need to get trapped together and be forced to talk it out!

Cute short story.

This was a cute short story. I really like these characters as well and wished their story was much longer.

Just too short still much loved

I would recommend this to anyone who loves the nocturne falls series.

It is totally true to form.

The missed star, from 5 to 4, is purely and simply because it’s too short for my liking. And, I admit with total honesty, because I’m being rude and picky & like a child wanting more ice cream :-) For that my apologies to the very much appreciated Kristen Painter.

Another of the nocturne falls short stories was the straw that broke the camel’s back leaving me doubting my joy in “reading” . I kinda forced myself to listen so I could catch up on the characters lives.

This one fell right into step as any of major novel. I immediately found my love of "reading” and was stunned to do so. I was so sad it ended quickly.

The book was a joy and try to form. 💜

Well worth the read!

romance, short, werewolves, Nocturne Falls, romantic comedy

Bridget owns the bar in Nocturne Falls, is a werewolf, and her brothers are the police and fire chiefs. Sam is a firefighter and one of the sons of a disgraced werewolf alpha. The attraction has been there since he moved to town, but it takes a night of being inadvertently locked inside a walk-in freezer for them to explore the possibility. Excellent short read!
B.J.Harrison is the narrator with the suggestive voice who is a master of the characters of Nocturne Falls.

Bridget's story

This one of the stories that I couldn't wait for. I really loved Bridget in her brother's story. So I was very excited for her own story. While this was short, it was fun and quirky. As in the previous Nocturne Falls stories, B.J. Harrison is an excellent narrator. I love this world of supernaturals. It is different than some of the other supernatural worlds and yet I love it so much. Kristen's world is amazing.

Story cute but narrator did Sam like an old coot

What was with the narrator in this one? He does the other books, too, but in this one he on-and-off made Sam sound like the old coot in every TV show that had small town rednecks telling someone they didn’t want their kind here. Weird.

But the story was nice for such a short one. Gave Bridget a story we could enjoy.
