About this listen

After arriving at his pre-determined neighborhood for a voluntary game of adult hide and seek, Brad Jeffries is shocked to learn that the innocent game has changed. Murder has been legalized. Borders have been set up. If anyone tries to escape, they are shot with no questions asked. The game of hide and seek is now played with rifles. It's shoot to kill. Brad must stay and play, or die to get out.

Great story. Grips you right from the onset. Very nice narration and well drawn characters. Worth the listen!

Makes you think, "What would I do?"

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick listen and full of action. The premise is that people volunteer and are chosen for a game of hide and seek that turns out to be a game of survival. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I would have liked more background on the game itself and the organization behind it. How was it developed and was there a purpose other than the prize? The winner had his theories but no answers were really given. The narrator did a good job with this book. He struck me as just a regular guy who got himself in over his head. His voice fit the character well.
