About this listen

Tying up…Loose Ends

In Kristen Ashley’s first anthology, listeners will find three short stories and two novellas taking them back to characters and series in the Kristen Ashley universe.

"No Clue", a short story - Visit with Joe and Vi from At Peace of The ’Burg series and learn how Joe breaks up a fight between his sons, what Ryker’s up to and why, exactly, his wife Violet has no clue.

The Stars Aligned, a novella - The long-awaited love story of Hap and Luci. Introduced in Heaven and Hell, listeners learned, after a heartbreaking journey through grief, Luci was ready to take another chance at love. But Hap was adhering to “the code” between brothers, unwilling to betray his dead friend Travis by falling for Travis’s widow. Further, Hap can’t quite believe a beauty like Luci could fall for a normal guy like Hap. But for Luci and Hap the heart can’t be denied. Especially when the stars align.

"The Favor", a short story - Deacon and Cassidy from Deacon of the Unfinished Heroes series go back to their favorite cabin at Glacier Lily, and there, Cassie asks her husband a favor. He’ll give her anything she wants. Including this.

More Than Everything, a novella - Listeners left Diesel, Maddox and Molly at a crossroads at the end of The Greatest Risk of the Honey series. Maddox and Molly were all in with their commitment to their unconventional love triangle. But Diesel was letting the pressures and prejudice of family and society sink under his skin, making him hold himself distant from the man he loved. Can Maddox and Molly lead Diesel fully into their lives and give him more than everything?

"Rock Chick Renewal", a short story - Tod has been planning Rock Chick weddings for years. He’s got a new one on his hands. And it’s not what he expected.

Uneven but well worth the credit

I'm so glad Kristen Ashley decided to do this. I loved getting to spend some time with Vi and Joe and Deacon and Cassidy again, and Todd and Stevie's story at the end was utter perfection. I didn't particularly care for the longer novellas, as I never got into the Honey series and thought that Heaven and Hell was also one of her weaker books.

As far as narrators goes, I'm glad that Susannah Jones came back, but while the performance for Vi/Joe and Deacon/Cassidy was fine it didn't sound quite "right."

Regardless of the "mixed" review, the highs were well worth the credit used!

Absolutely Loved “Loose Ends”!

I’m not often lead to writing reviews, I normally enjoy a good book and move on to the next. but in this case I know I must share my feelings about Loose Ends! It is simply brilliant. Hap and Lucena was a feel good tale and I loved every word. Deacon and Cassie heart warming. The narrator’s, together presented an Emotional, heart felt, arousing, story for Maddox, Diesel and Molly! It was impossible to put down. And frankly, the kink was ... incredible! Keep it up Kristen, this is some of your best work!

Happy Endings!

Love this format! There are so many "secondary" characters in your books that are developed so vividly that you wonder about, hmmmm wonder what happened to herrr? And I know you have so many avenues you can take with just main characters, wow! Loved it!! Thanks.

This is NOT linked with the Amazon Kindle book!

If you purchased the book on amazon and purchase this, please be aware that they are NOT synced (WhisperSynced, etc). I would have waited to burn a credit on this.

Many talented narrators.

I hadn’t read all of the books and didn’t realize this wasn’t a stand alone book until I was already into the first book and it was too late to turn around.
I love all the narrators and the way the stories ended. Now, I need to go back and read the books.

My Heart is so Full

Vi and Joe
Oh my gosh do I miss this series, it was so nice and a great opening to this Loose Ends book. Sigh Oh Joe.
Fantastic Narrator for this story.

Luci and Hap
I am dying literally dying, I have wanted this book for soooooo long. My heart bleeds for Luci in Heaven and Hell and I just wanted her to heal. She had her HEA once and the pain of that well it destroyed her. But Hap oh Hap, he really understands and this story NEEDED to be shared. My heart is full and I am happy for these two.
Yes, the narrator does her accent!! Thank you so much for that!

Deacon and Cassidy
One of my all-time favorite stories, this short was so freaking sweet and funny. I love that Cassy is still bossy and Deacon is still his strong silent type. Swoon I just love these characters.

Diesel, Maddox, and Molly
Oh my gosh, this was an amazing novella, this dynamic of two men and one woman is my favorite to read because it changes up the game of a relationship. How they all can love each other and be there for each other without judgment or jealousy. Being free to love who you want. That to me is sweet.
This short is really about Diesel and admitting to himself but also his family who and what he is and being ok with that. This story is sweet and sad because it’s true. So many people/families can’t or won’t see that just because you love someone or someone loves you does not mean they are still not your friend/family. I think it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there and if someone can’t or won’t see you as worthy and they want to hurt or tare you down, cutting them out is for the best, it may not feel like it but in the long run it is worth it for your own sanity.
This story shows all sides the ones that don’t get it and the ones that do. You can’t always see the negative and that is what I loved we also get so much love and so much support. I fell in love with these three and I am so, so, glad Ms. Kristen Ashley choose to include this in her Loose Ends.

Teenage Fairy story
So fun, so cute.

Oh Tod <3
My heart is so full, I couldn’t ask for more from Tod and Stevie so sweet.

Overall this book really is a fan’s dream we get our old favorites and insight into some stories we have always wanted to be told but never thought they would be. So thank you, Kristen Ashley, for giving us this.

The narration is incredible everyone did an amazing job.

Pure joy.

Loose Ends, Volume One is a novella featuring No Clue with Joe and Vi from At Peace of The Burg series. The Stars Aligned, featuring Hap and Luci from Heaven and Hell. The Favor featuring Deacon and Cassidy from the Unfinished Hero series. More Than Everything with Diesel, Maddox, and Molly from The Greatest Risk of the Honey series and a Rock Chick Renewal featuring Tod.

Overall, Kristen Ashley has always been one of my go-to authors and although I adore some of the characters featuring in this novella, I would have loved to have had more. Novellas are always a tricky thing because it is difficult to capture a complete story arc in such a short amount of text. Overall, KA fans will be happy to get more of their favorite characters. Even though this wasn’t my fave, I will always remain loyal to KA and the characters she has created and certainly look forward to reading more!
