About this listen

No connections. Play it safe. These were the rules Ivey lived her life by. Until she hit Mustang, Colorado, a perfectly imperfect town where the citizens were welcoming, and one of them included the tall, beautiful, macho-man rancher cowboy Grayson Cody.

On the run for a decade, Ivey knew she was supposed to play it safe. But she was tired of being on the run. She wanted normal. She wanted real. She wanted a home. And she wanted Grayson Cody. And Grayson Cody wanted Ivey. No one who looked at them couldn't see they belonged together. There was one man in this world for Ivey and one woman in this world for Grayson Cody. So they fell in love.

But just as quickly as they fell together, they were betrayed and torn apart. Separated for years, Ivey was certain her life would not include her rancher cowboy. Until the town of Mustang reached out to her when Gray was in trouble. Even though she thought he broke her heart, she charged in to help. Then Gray and Ivey discovered they were betrayed, and, not only that, but Gray had an enemy who would stop at nothing to defeat him.

Another good one!

A little took much "thinking/internal dialogue" at times, and could have probably been a few hours shorter, but overall loves this book!

Narrator was awesome!

Awesome!

This is one of my top favorite books from Kristen Ashley and the narrator did such a fantastic job! She's definitely one of the best I've heard. Not only is the story one I absolutely love, it was great hearing a narrator who brought it to live in such a great way.

such a heart warming story!

I could not put this book down, I loved it! Was up til 4:30AM, because I was so caught up in it! It made me laugh, and cry.
This auther is my new favorite and have yet to find one of her books that I just liked, as I completely loved them all. The characters In this and all her books steal into your heart. I found myself smiling when I was done. A feel good ending. Great read!!

Good book, hard to get into though

I usually Love Kristen Ashley's books, but this one I had a hard time sticking with. Not sure why, good character development, good story line, I just think I was never comfortable the other shoe wasn't going to drop NOW. Glad I finished it, though.

Really enjoyable.

Kristen Ashley is an author I stumbled across and I have enjoyed every story and journey, even then sci-fi ones. Lol! But this story is special. It is good to see people win and although the heroine had a real difficult journey, I loved how she came through and grew! I really love Lash as a character.

Outstanding Narrator!

Any additional comments?

Savannah Richards did a phenomenal job narrating Play It Safe. Her voice was pleasant to listen to and her performance was entertaining. She really did a good job reading the male characters in the story. Not many women can pull that off as well as she did.

GREAT STORY! UNNECESSARY LANGUAGE!

This book like so many movies uses the "fuck" word to the extreme! It's so unnecessary to put a point across. My next listen is going to be another Kristen Ashley and if it's the same excessive language, I'm done! I love the storyline but can't take the language.

This is my first experience with Savannah Richards and I'm impressed. Enjoyed her narrative skills and will look for other books by her!
