Great book!

The Yellow Sock was an awesome story. It brings to life how adoptive parents go through the "birthing process" to receive their gift from God.
Angela has you right there with the characters. Crying with them in their sorrow, frustrated with them in the delays and cheering when there dreams are realized.
This book really gives a person insight into the heart of adoption.

beautiful asoption story

I thoroughly enjoyed this story by Angela Hunt. As I was reading, I felt as if I were right there watching as the story unfolded. The characters were well-developed and the story realistic and believable. The story follows a young couple and their journey through infertility and adoption. You felt Megan's frustration and despair at not being able to conceive and Dave's struggle to understand and the ups and downs of the adoption process. I also enjoyed the narrator and her skill at reading the story and adding life to the character's voices. I highly recommend this book.

I received a copy of this book from the Publisher in exchange for my honest review which I have given.

Christian Fiction

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this novel on Audible. The performance was very good--Becky Doughty did an excellent narration of the story. I would recommend this. I received this book through TBCN in exchange for an honest review.

This is a very touching story about a young couple dealing with fertility issues. The reader very easily gets involved in their struggles and emotions. This is a very pro-adoption story in the circumstances that this couple faces. Just when you think that everything is going smoothly, they face another obstacle or glitch in their quest for a child. We see God at work in the whole process, and their journey in trusting Him for His perfect plan is the focus of the story.

Well worth your time

Would you listen to The Yellow Sock: An Adoption Story again? Why?

I just finished listening to this book. Once again Angela Hunt produced a book that is excellent. All the characters were fully developed. You felt like you were there watching from the sidelines. I do not like to give a synopsis, that is available on the cover, I will give my honest opinion of the book. I highly recommend this book. Not only was the story captivating, the reading was well done also. The only thing that is a negative is that it ended way too soon. You will not be disappointed in this novel about a family dealing with adoption. Truly worth the time. This audio book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.

Endearing Adoption Story

The Yellow Sock by Angela Hunt is a realistic look at infertility and the adoption process. The emotional responses of both the hopeful mother and the father are explored. Anticipation and joy, hopelessness and despair, along with guilt and sorrow are all touched on as the reader sees a young Christian couple try for a couple years to have a child naturally only to finally realize that was not in God's plan for their lives. The story is a reminder that God is in control and as we delight in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. The Yellow Sock is a reassuring book for those who are dealing with infertility and the adoption process. Hunt has done her usual great job of putting a first-rate book in the hands of her readers.

Adoption - so inspirational

Anytime I hear narrator Becky Doughty, I know I'm in for a treat. This sweet adoption story by Angela Hunt was no different. I've enjoyed listening to this story several times already. I highly recommend it. Beautifully told, wonderfully performed. A listening delight - granting insight into what goes into an (international) adoption process that has a happy, snuggly ending for an abandoned baby and for parents who longed for nothing more than to BE parents to a beautiful little girl.
