Publisher's summary

Xeal and friends continue their journey to the top of Eternal Dominion. However, as Xeal searches out potential leaders for his guild and bolsters its ranks, others are moving as well. Will he and his guild weather the storm, or will they lose their footing and be stopped before they can even really begin?

Yes, I begin to introduce romantic complications in this book; yes, Alex’s/Xeal’s relations will become more complex and integral to the plot of this series as it goes on. No, I will not be writing any smut scenes; I will set up things and skip all the details; my 73-year-old mother enjoys these, and yeah, enough said. I hope you all understand that for Alex/Xeal having a meaningful relationship was something that escaped him in his first life, and this time around, he is going to try to make it work—sometimes a bit too hard.

it was good MC is a bad friend story had a few,

it was good MC is a terrible friend or inconsiderate of being a homeboy I don't see how he has male friends, cuz he's dirty, when it comes to caring about his own friends feelings, story had a few moments that were not believable in terms of what would happen between people in real life for how they were at but other than the greats I said above this book was awesome and I can't wait for book 3

Good until harem

I like the plot as it reminds me of my favorite book, reincarnation of the strongest sword god. starts with very similar plot. sure it's short but worth it due to the plot. then out of nowhere they force an unbelievable harem plot that 100% takes away from the original concept. I wouldn't complain about it if it was done well, but that is the worst harem set up I have ever herd, ever. I will continue to listen simply because of main plot, until harem stuff gets worse anyway.

Halfway Through

I enjoyed the story right until halfway through and the romantic stuff started happening. There was nothing like that in the first book and I thought it would continue that way.

what the fuck is this shit?

what the fuck is this shit?
why is this strange romance shit happening in a story about a dude going back in time to fuck over major gaming companies trying to monopolize the game economy. it's so cringe the amount of Sexism is insane its the over played plot of the slut and the good girl like the same guy but they don't give a shit what he wants they don't let him say no to them only because he can't fully reject them otherwise they fuck up his guild plans. it's so fucking annoying the story was so good then this shit

Unnecessary and weird

This book is relatively short. To make up for it, the author tries to be concise. But that is all worthless when he fluffs the whole thing with a ridiculous, out of the blue and completely unnecessary harem situation. But the author REALLY wants you to understand that he is SUCH A GOOD GUY(MEH) and so you shouldn't judge him. The author constantly adds reasoning and "story"(not really) to show that he is so good to them and didn't even want it. Just like us.

WHY Is this seemingly great story being forced into this weird place when it is already insanely short and seemingly focused. It just seems like a social topic the author had an interest in that he FORCED into the story. I don't care about what kind of relationship the MC wants to have with whomever, I just wish trying to justify it didn't have to be such a driving and deciding force for this story. Dialogue is added to even discuss this weird Harem situation with other characters, having the girls adamantly defend him and their relationship. It just added an unnecessary and annoying layer to so many interactions.

Given the gender dynamics, I originally appreciated how th author didn't try to exploit it for "romantic" filler, but they did. Oh, and like 30 mins(about 15% of the book is a preview for the next one). It's a hacky and low-brow move given how short the book is. And as stated in other reviews, the dynamic and relationships shown between the friends, especially the male friends(given my perspective), is a fantasy. No, your best friend is not going to be okay with you hooking up with the girl he's been into forever like.. the day after she rejects him. That whole thing was done in a very one-sided and unrealistic way.
