Enjoyable light listen

I was looking for some historical fiction entertain me through a weekend of spring yard cleanup, and Trade Winds exceeded my expectations. It has a great story line, yet not so complicated that I missed something important if I got interruped. The plot is similar to other historical novels (female protagonist smarter than women are supposed to be ends up in an arranged marriage). The setting in Sweden is different than "the usual". The story sometimes seemed a little contrived, but that's par for the course in this genre. This is a great choice to escape from reality in a lively story with a happy ending!

Fabulous narrator

I really only chose this book because I’d enjoyed the narrator before. It didn’t disappoint and I really enjoyed her reading of this. It’s a good book, not particularly challenging but good escapism and I appreciated the historical research.
