About this listen
Horror favorite T.W. Grim invites you to pull up a chair and watch the sun slip past the horizon with this dark and macabre collection of short stories.
A creature with the appearance of a young boy terrorizes the inmates and guards of a prison. A man fights for survival after being trapped in a dark and horrifying pit. Amidst a city in flames, a man faces relentless pursuit by a nightmarish creature named Wuurzum. A man is locked in a perpetual battle with an entity that possesses innocent people.
These stories and others offer a disquieting look at what happens to familiar places after the comforting light of day has been extinguished by the creeping shroud of nightfall. Turn down the lights, get comfortable... and prepare to lose some sleep.

Story
The red night of bells heralds global catastrophe. Annihilation on a biblical scale. Seeing the morning is no blessing. The handful of scattered survivors are confronted by blood-red skies and an infestation of predatory horrors that never originated on earth. An occupying force intent on erasing the remnants of animal life from the planet. Across the deserted landscapes of England, bereft of infrastructure and society, the overlooked can either hide or try to outrun the infernal hunting terrors. Until a rumour emerges claiming that the sea may offer an escape.

Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Fantastic
There are several incredible stories in here but the two longest, one about the witch and one about summoning a demon, really stand out. They are classic horror topics that have been done to death but written so well in this you don’t care. Loved it.

coarse and lackluster
Swearing is an art where I grew up. But this book swears just to be coarse, not to communicate. There are better ways to demonstrate that a character is salt-of-the-earth than to have them swear incessantly and/or have the humor of a fifth grade boy. And not all uneducated persons are rabidly profane or sophomoric.
If the stories’ narratives went somewhere, maybe it’d be worth suffering through the vocabulary. But, this seems to be a collection where decent ideas went to die. There is no payoff at the stories’ ends. None of them. Maybe that’s the horror the cover art promises.
