About this listen

When Desdemona Wainwright tries to collect a much-needed payment for catering Sam Stark's canceled wedding reception, she encounters, not a heartbroken suitor, but the steel-willed head of a multimillion-dollar consulting firm with the cold brain of a computer - and the finely hewn body of a medieval knight. Sam sees a beautiful, theatrical hoyden with huge turquoise eyes who has the right professional catering skills he needs for his business. Opposites attract, and before long, he's sure he's found the perfect business wife. But Desdemona intends to break down the walls around his heart.

When someone tries to steal his top-secret computer program, suspisions center on the people Desdemona holds most dear. As sinister intrigues swirl around them all, this unlikely pair discover that their love and even their lives may depend on emotions and bonds that can't be measured - like unstoppable passion and unbreakable trust.

Filled with fabulous fun, tingling suspense, and a wonderful new love story, Trust Me is great entertainment.

Well edited but easy beach read

Classic Krentz in a story that was modern for its time, with her trademark quirky characters, a mystery, and a touch of campiness.
Ferrone has a pleasant, raspy voice that makes me think of a slightly world-weary older man that is holding on to his positive attitude with both hands. He did well with the male characters and some females.

A favorite of mine. I revisit it time and again.

A good Story, both protagonists are believable characters. A personal favorite. Sam and Desdemona are interesting personalities.

Enjoyed greatly.

Cute listen, with fun short adult parts. No gory parts.
Good concepts on family and trust.

Unique and interesting story line

This book was clearly written when PC’s were new (an important part of this story) and not yet part of the common vernacular … but it still resonates. And I remember those days! But what gives this book voice is the unique story line. Today we would probably think of the H as being “on the spectrum” given his brilliance paired with his poor communication skills - particularly emotional communication. But the h sees him and loves him as he is. All against a background of twists and turns that goes with a good “whodunnit”. Great narration! Highly recommend.

Trust Me

Ms. Krentz write the best stories. Just enough romance and mystery. All her series are worth buying.

👍

I enjoyed reading this book more than I thought I would. It showed venerable parts of a strong man with out making him weak.

Great fun and romance served well!

This was truly enjoyable.....a mystery that was served with large dollops of humor and romance seasoned with great dialogue delivered by the always excellent Richard Ferrone....had a difficult time putting it down.

Trust Me is a Classic

There is a reason that some novels and movies are classics rather than just old. While Trust Me is mostly a light, humorous story, the characters (main and supporting) are well developed, unique and engrossing.

With only mild language and sexual scenes, the budding romance between Desdemona & Stark was sweet & sassy, She was smart and assertive, which Stark seemed to appreciate and respect. A great escape from grim reality without seeming like a fairy tale.

The narrator's voice, while pleasant and entertaining, is too old (over 55) for a book featuring main characters in their late 20s or early 30s.

Unusual

contemporary-romance, computer-nerd, actors, amateur-sleuth, murder-investigation, relationships, erotica
Read from January 01, 2009 to October 10, 2016

Fun and interesting cozy mystery plus erotica. Two very different people meet over the demise of his wedding and become entangled in many ways. I really enjoyed the fun, and the characters are absolutely delightful.
Richard Ferrone just doesn't seem like a good fit in this one even though I think he is a very good narrator.

Trust me

The story was ok. Narrator was horrible. I think i would have liked it better with a different narrator, or combination of male and female narrators. This narrator sounded like a middle aged man and really didn’t bring the characters to life. If I can look beyond the narrator I might be inclined to give the story a better rating
