About this listen

More monster girls. More branding. More world conquering.

After their first victory over the vile slavers that control Etria, William and his harem turn to the heart of the barony to seek allies. But when William finds out that the baroness has turned savage, it's up to him and his brand to stop her.

Now, he's going to do what he does best, kick ass and save monster girls.

And hey, if that means he'll have to face the Queen Bee herself, well, that's what a magical branding iron is for, now isn't it?

Get ready to get slaved.

The story was good, more of what we got in the first book.

The audio recording was bad. Sound quality was just fine, but it seemed like there were parts that were re-recorded or something. At points the voices for characters changes from one second to the next. In one chapter, the voice of a character changed completely and then was back to how it was before in the next.

This was just a problem with J.F. Harding's portions of the book. Andrea Parsneau was excellent as usual, for the small parts she had. If she could do the voices for all female characters in every chapter while Harding did the male ones and the narration, it would be a much better experience. A true dual narration instead of this jumping from one to the other depending on the POV.

Inconsistent audio

ohhh it is really starting to take off. the narrators did an excellent job, I really like the emotion that the pit into the narrative. good job as always Mr. Archer. on to book 3.

excellent story

The story isn't anything to dark as one would expect from a excerpt about brands and malevolent villains.

The righting is fairly well done, the pacing good, and the performance is top notch. Though I noticed bits here and there that was fixed/edited after the fact, I enjoyed this all the way through.
Very much recommended.

Worth it.

The second is as good as the first. I only gave four star for performance because the voice would change mid character. Otherwise it is five stars elsewhere. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Great Installment!

It, at points, feels like it was written by a high schooler do to the amount of references to sex or the overall sexual undertones. Other than that the setting and themes of the the book are fun and enjoyable

Good book

overall good however when narrating as certain characters he goes back to default voice it was a bit confusing at times or rather jarring

Good but

I really enjoyed the first book and had decent expectations for book two. This is honestly garbage with character voice changes with narrator swaps, everyone is a horned up sex machine...definitely getting my credit back now

The eye roll is strong with this book. I didn't finish the book and got my money back, I'm about 5-6 hours in and just can't take any more. The story isn't terrible but is predictable. I like the characters. The voice acting is great. I'm just not into the authors obvious furry harem fantasy, ego stroking, nor the sex scenes which only detract from the story. While I'm far from a prude and don't have issues with sex and romance in books, I'm not into graphic descriptions of sex, if I wanted that I'd purchase erotic novels. If you're into fantasy adventure/furry harem erotica this book is for you.

Just not into Furry Harem erotica

I can't. this book makes me groan. The story from the last book was good so I picked this up. but, the melodrama of the harem is soooooo groan worthy. It is completely interfering with my ability to enjoy the story of get into the book at all.
edit:
I tried SO HARD to finish this book! But I just couldn't. I honestly tried. I hate leaving even bad books unfinished. But the book gets even more groan and eye rolling than the first part of my review suggests. The cringe just gets worse and worse.
I got this book during A*d*ble's "screw over your authors by selling every book for dirt cheap and forcing authors to accept pennies for their books without their consent." sale they got away with because of their audiobook monopoly.
I paid like $3 for it.
I think I would have rather bought a McDouble, I would have gotten more enjoyment out of 5 minutes of eating a McDouble than the hours I spent trying to listen to this book.

groan *eye roll*

it's a ok story the writing is solid the performance is excellent. it just becomes boring after a while. I won't listen to more of them but I'm not going to return this book either. the female characters lose anything that makes them interesting after they join him they're all call him master and savior and all this crap all the time which becomes annoying. the main character is literally just some guy from Earth he's not anything special personality-wise so why he accepts but I'm calling him master and savior and not addressing him by his name seems weird. he treats his longtime friend like crap over these three or four women. it's like the author decided to take the best character and use him as a kicking bag. Even though he's the most interesting character on the good guys side. anyway whatever if you like sexy time and did a little bit of that and the women seem attractive by the author's explanations.

interesting concept but predictable
