About this listen

The last man of a lost cause

On the jungle planet Red Eye, a lone legionnaire fights for survival. His Legion SOG team, sent here to put an end to the Lizzaar H8 trade, was abandoned by the House of Reason, and one by one his team members have been killed by the Lizzaar. Now only he, Sergeant Spike Riggs, remains.

Riggs valiantly continues the mission, working with disgruntled zhee colonists to do whatever damage he still can. But the Lizzaar own the jungles, the planet, the sector of space.

Until Tyrus Rechs arrives.

The bounty hunter must hearken back to his days as a Legion general as he once again leads his soldiers through combat. Together with Riggs and the zhee insurgents, he has a chance to bring the Lizzaar H8 trade crashing down ... if he can survive the three deadly assassins hot on his trail.

The odds are daunting, the mission almost impossible. The situation calls for ... uncommon valor.

I love the books with Tyrus Rex. Need savage war series with Rex. Can’t wait until next book.

TREX

The quite over-obvious cliffhanger with the left over assassins and stolen ship was quite unnecessary and could have been wrapped up in this book though. Feels like milking it a bit - smells of Star Wars under Disney

As usual great entertainment

I’m disappointed that less than half the book actually followed Tyrus. I hope you’re ready to hear spikes whole story.

Not much of Tyrus in his own book

Rright now I don't mind the new direction away from mostly self contained nature of the previous books. I would still like to see more.

Once again a great addition to the universe and loved every second of it. start here and anywhere else in theses stories you'll enjoy it.

Never miss one

Hardest part is waiting for the next book. Some of my favorite characters and the coolest ship the Obsidian Crow.

Love all of these books

Really good installment in series. Looking forward to next book. Great pace and really kept my attention.

T Rex still awesome.

The narrator does a wonderful job.

It is a good legion solo story and worth a listen.

There isn't much Tyrus Rechs in it and it should have been included in Galaxy's edge and not Contracts and Terminations. It starts the threads of future stories but doesn't do much to advance the Contracts and Terminations story lines.

Excellent Legion Solo Story

The SOG operators, the many unfortunate events in the plot (the Tennar deserved better), seeing things through the eyes of The T-Rex, and the relentless Lizzar enemies and curious assassins all combined to present a perfect parable of life itself. I loved it all and can't wait for the next installment. It is good to be reminded of what it means to be men, in the truest sense.

PS: Like I said in my review of the previous book, Mephisto's Game, Marc Vietor will grow on you. I believe he did exceptionally well. Jason and Nick only work the best.

The Title Speaks True

At first I was annoyed to not have ray porter. However as other reviews have mentioned Marc Vietor is actually a very good narrator. Once used to him I thoroughly enjoyed listening. Will happily grab any new ones with him narrating.

Story was of course excellent, I wouldn’t expect any different from Jason and Nick. One of my favorite things about GE is all of these books not necessarily related to the main story arc but great nonetheless.
