About this listen
In this third installment of the Waves Trilogy, the American apocalypse has come. There is only one thing left to do to end the chaos storming across our land.
Many a prey will fall by the wayside on dark desert highways and byways. Sandi continues to seek out and destroy all those who have taken from her and stolen the humanity of this nation.
Meanwhile, secrets are revealed, and choices of the heart will need to be made. Mysteries will be solved just in the nick of time.
Sandi is just a girl, a mom, a lover...and now a killer. There is only one chance left to sabotage the opposition that seeks to annihilate democracy and the republic. This counter-coup fits Sandi like a glove.
If Sandi succeeds, not only will the power and basic services will be restored, but our way of life as well. If Sandi fails, many will fall.
Either way, someone's going to get their heart broken. Either way, someone's going to die!
This is the long-awaited finale of destruction, revenge, and blood. Will hope win out in the end?
Note: Some details in the sub-story lean right. This, mostly to support the main story line of current-day events.

WOW
I am so going to miss Sandy and Jessie! Can not believe its over! This trilogy is a great one! Housewife turned badass when her man was taken. The narrarators did a great job making the characters come to life. As a reader you become fully vested in this story and the characters. Great addition to your library. Just a sad day that it's over.

I Can’t say enough! YES!!! WOW! The full Monty!
Was it fate, karma, kismet, or perhaps the guidance of those gone before … Sandi may never know, but something, or SOMEONE was sending her “visions” … visions that served as buoys to guide her through the cresting “Waves of Loyalty” that billow as she and her fellow Loyalists attempt to pull off “The Counter Coup”, to set America back on course! This story is absolute stunning perfection! The plot is exceedingly well thought out, cohesive, TWISTY mind blowing perfection! I love how “Waves of Loyalty” weaves everything together, even going back in time ~ without taking away from the current day story ~ to give an in-depth … ahh, no spoilers, but NOW I now have ALL the deets! Not only the “who’s” and the “how’s” … but the deep down “why’s” and the “what makes ‘em tick” that I didn't even know I needed … and it’s fabulous dahling! It’s sooo good that I want to begin the entire series … from the beginning, and listen all over AGAIN! ~ Okay, confession time. I listened out of order. I actually listened to “Ripple in the Waves: Dangerous Consequences” (Book 4) first. It was so well written that everything made perfect sense, but holy WOW, after the bombshells contained in THIS one, I can’t wait to go back and listen again! Of course, I can’t ruin anyone’s fun by giving any of THIS one away, just know, everything is clear, it’s all beautiful and boy did it made me cry ~ several times in several places! It also made me laugh and cheer! This is a character driven story and ALL of the characters are completely human, real feeling, brilliantly defined and develop organically WITH the story! Gawd I love me some Jesse, Josh, AND a bunch of other beautifully defined, beautifully voiced Loyalists! And fear not, there are also plenty of ne’er-do-wells to despise and fist pump when they get theirs! I mentioned beautifully voiced, and believe me, they are! Every character is voiced exactly as I would picture them! As I listened, I laughed with them, I cried with them, I grieved and rejoiced with them, totally immersed in their world as the authors vision came vibrantly alive! “Waves of Loyalty” is truly perfect ~ The full Monty! I loved every single twisty emotional second! Five Fantastic Stars!

Waves of Loyalty Review
I have loved this trilogy since book one, the hard ships and the loss that an entire nation could suffer is truly astounding. But when people stand together for what they believe and know is right, well you know you can win against anything.
Since book one I was instantly hooked right in to the fast paced story, the characters were very realistic and the plot was amazing.
What a great end to an amazing trilogy, I was happy that Sandy finally found love again, after everything she’s been through she finally deserved it.
I really enjoyed the narrators voices, and the voice of Jess brought a fresh perspective to the narration. As always Michelle was the perfect voice for Sandy, I look forward to hearing more for both Michelle and Russil as narrators and from Susie as an author.
God bless you all.

The Counter Coup
Since I listened to the first two books of this trilogy, I felt compelled to finish it out. I enjoyed the first book a lot and found it to be a different take on a possible apocalyptic situation. I also admired the fact that the author wasn't afraid to put her religious and political beliefs out there for her readers.
However, in the second book, I found myself not liking the characters as much. And, in this third and final book, a really struggled to care anymore.
Sandi started out as a typical housewife, with older children and a loving husband, who has to face a disaster and learn to live a totally different lifestyle. When her husband, Jimmy, is killed by a group of men who have pledged loyalty to Nancy Luellen, a Senator who wants to run the United States with the help of Muslim radicals, Sandi vows revenge.
In this final book, we find Sandi being recruited by the "true" government in the guise of a group called the Loyalists to kill Luellen and allow things to get back to normal. Sandi bears an uncanny resemblance to a confident of Luellen's, Rebecca Harmon, so she is the perfect person to get close to Luellen and kill her.
Much of the book is devoted to Sandi trying to transform herself into Becca, including adopting her accent and mannerisms. This is where I started having problems with the book. Becca is from South Carolina, so Sandi says she can mimic her since she has friends in Oklahoma and Texas. Throughout the book, Sandi mentions this as well as Becca's Midwest accent. Huh? Since when has South Carolina been a part of the Midwest? And when has an Oklahoma accent sounded like one from SC?
Then, we have Sandi (who is supposedly a mature woman with adult or teenaged children and young grandchildren) lusting over Josh, her rescuer from Book 2. She is totally oblivious to the fact that her longtime friend, Jessie, has always been in love with her. This part of the story was pretty hard to take most of the time. Who should I choose? Oh, woe is me to have to pick between two hunky men? Yuck. If I want a romantic triangle, I'll reread "Twilight".
My enjoyment of the book was further tested by not being able to believe that Sandi, without any military or espionage training, would be able to carry off the type of attack that the Loyalists plan against Luellen and her minions. I won't spoil the story by talking about the ending, but let's just say that it was a stretch to believe it.
The narrator did a good job and made it easier to complete this book. I do admire Ms. Harrison for writing this trilogy, knowing that her beliefs would probably come under attack.

Had Potential...
This Book Was Disappointing...The Events Were Unbelievable And The Story Revolved Around The Main Character's Thoughts Instead Of The Author Focusing On The Action That Could Have Ensued In This Story...The Story Eventually Turned Into A Romance Which Was Not The Genre This Book Is Listed As....What A Waste...
