The story line is good but the narrator was awful. He is tone his blah and the mispronunciation of some words are unreal. Side note if you do not know how to pronounce something look it up first there are a ton of apps for that. I think that the book would have been more interesting if his voice would have changed for a female and maybe a Italian accent could have been used. The narrator made the story a bit blain.

This story is funny from start to finish. Italy was funny and in the States too. It was sexy how Russell saw her and jumped in and hung in no matter how she tried to shake him off.I love how they related to one another, Mr. Haines, Ms. Alexander it was so very entertaining.... how she and her friend got along, talked trash to one another and joked together.his humor" being a modern woman I thought you had it","there are no cameras here, so mind the s**t you talk"...I could keep going, I am going to listen to it again. I recognized her personality and his you just know that she really wanted him to keep coming back. I get why he didn't tell her at first but he should have told her before it hit the fan. When her mom criticized him I think she should have stepped in for him even though he called her a name later on. There could have been better details during the love scenes too..
I didn't like the narrator because many times he sounds like he is reading versus it seeming natural although I have heard way worse, it takes away from the story and he made Russell sound like an old man, my mind kept making Russell old when I pictured him as I listened.Outside of the narration I really enjoyed this book.

Funny!

Thank you Kendra Riley for writing a book about BWWM romance. Truly romantic love that addresses body type, race and self worth. Thank you for not overlooking and ignoring their race and the issues that are often common when dating out side of your on race. Thanks for a well rounded human love story.

The narrator is totally awful; he read through the book, and didn’t even do a good job with this. Russell was Italian, an Italian accent would make this better, a female would be better. Having to listen to all of the disparaging comments and stereotypes about Black people was a complete turn off. Awful!
