Sweet Story!

This was a very sweet story. The two main characters had tremendous chemistry from the start when they at Addison’s bank and Addie helped Alissa close and open a new account. They were drawn to each other without them knowing it. The plot development was very believable and sweet.

The narrator was also very good and made the story enjoyable.

Falling in love with a girl for the first time

I love stories about first time loves. In these stories at least one character has to do some serious self reflection about themselves, who they believe themselves to be and what they want. They have to face their fears and doubts. In this world of judgement it is still a big step to come to a self realization of attraction to the same sex. Taking that leap of faith to love can be dawnting. Jamey protrayed the MC Addison who is a high powered type A personality on her path to success in banking. Her whole life has been focused on her career, until she meets the friendliness, most easy going person to be with Lissa. Friendship becomes more over time. The author did a very good job of taking this couple through steps of self discovery and finally claiming true love and happiness.

I would consider the narration more of read than acting. It was OK, Voice differences not profound. I could always tell who was talking and that makes it for easy listening. I could hear the narrator take breaths which was a distraction especially durning a love scene.

Almost, but not quite

I really don’t like to write negatives about a book. After all, the author is much more courageous than I am just for putting themselves out there. That said, here I go. The story was pleasant enough but a bit disjointed to my ear. Not sure if it ‘s the writing or the narration. The narrator sounded like she was reading a book report in a 10th grade English class. Maybe I should have read the book before I listened to it. I liked the premise but the book just didn’t deliver for me. I give it 3.5* overall - the narration really pulled the rating down for me.

Lame.

Very simplistic writing and storyline. Reminds me of stuff high school students write. Plus the narrator read the sex scenes like an AI bot reading the traffic report. The smut was so boring it made me want to quit being queer
