Publisher's summary

If you're like me, you might have tuned out or rejected the idea whenever you hear someone say "you have to love yourself" and you might even say to yourself, what the heck does that mean? Unfortunately, loving yourself can be so foreign of a concept and yet it might also be the very thing that changes your life...for the better in "every way. Self-love - our capacity to feed our spirit, fill our "love cup’ and feel inner peace is endless - we just need to tap into it. But how? How the heck do we create [or experience] inner happiness? That's what this audiobook attempts to address.

Recommended from my friend

I really enjoyed this book it was recommended to me by a man I dated Justin ! Unfortunately, Justin and I were not a love connection.
The good news is there is great information in this book that I believe will help me become and find my lifelong love.
When we value ourselves, others will value us.
I’m taking a break from dating but, when I date again I’ll be ready to operate from a place of peace and confidence.

Another Narrator, Please!

Wished it was JA’s voice…I love and can tolerate listening to him. His tone with his influential humor or convincing sway of opinion helps make him more grounded and down to earth, human connection to the rest of us. Bottom line, FOR ME…this narrator sounded too much like a Munchkin from the movie, “Wizard of Oz” and I struggled to listen to his material/his work. Such a shame. Great material though.

Definitely a repeat listen book

The idea of self love can sound a little New Age-y, but I recently had a profound experience with it through work with a professional therapist and wanted to learn more about how to strengthen that practice.

This book wasn’t what I expected, but I believe it’s helped me further understand what self love can be. It’s full of lessons on acceptance, accountability, and compassion. Some of it may not be easy to hear, and some things might be an oversimplification like the difference between Gandhi and Jeffrey Dahmer, but it’s definitely worth repeated listens to really absorb the concepts.
