This book was wonderful. I read reviews that said it was really slow but I thought the pacing was actually perfect. It builds and builds and builds and then when the climax hits you are absolutely at the edge of your seat. You really feel for the main character and it all seemed pretty realistic. The twists were really good and the whole time you are just asking yourself questions and guessing what happened. The narrators were also the best ones I’ve heard so far on audible especially at the climax. Overall a really good book and it will have you making physical reactions each time more of the plot is revealed (I did tear up a bit lol)

***SPOILER COMMENTARY***

Whyyy were people so mean to this poor mom. Like no joke everyone who interacted with her besides lily were like your crazy and you need to get over your runaway daughter. I really wish there was a bit about how stupid and sorry these people must have felt when it turns out the mom was the only sane and correct one the whole time!! Poor mom was getting gaslit so hard smh.

I could not put this book down. it was so intriguing and grabbed my attention so much that I listened to it for 2 days until I got through the whole story. the twists and turns were very addicting and I wanted to know every moment what was going to happen next. You'll enjoy this book either in Kindle, paperback or Audible

This book was pretty slow to start and then it picked up fast! About halfway through the book things start to come together and snippets of the past are shared. Just when you think you have it all figured out…you don’t. I almost want to go back and listen to it again because I know there were small hints along the way of what happened to Sophie. The last few chapters were nail biting and I couldn’t stop listening!!
The narration was excellent.
