About this listen

When the director of a local mental health hospital is found murdered and mutilated, Homicide Detective Reed Davies is first on scene. What was done to the body is gruesome. Inexplicable. But Reed is dealt another curveball when he finds that the doctor who discovered the victim is someone Reed is intimately familiar with - a woman with whom he shared one passionate night weeks before.

Dr. Elizabeth Nolan is somehow tangled up in the crime, and even while Reed must now question her possible involvement, he can’t help being drawn to the beautiful, enigmatic woman.

As more bodies appear and the devious killer terrorizes Cincinnati, a shocking connection begins to emerge, one that not only involves Dr. Nolan, but Reed himself. A connection more twisted and elaborate than he can imagine. Now Reed must hunt the monster down, a killer who will stop at nothing to see his diabolical plan to its final, deadly conclusion.

The follow-up to Where the Blame Lies - Where the Truth Lives is a gripping, pause-resisting, romantic thriller that will leave you gasping for breath.

Where the Truth Lives

Wow, ok so I finished book 1 for the second time so that I wouldn’t have any holes in my memory when I started this one.

This book was pretty great actually I feel like we got closure that we did and didn’t get from the first book.
There were a lot of little things that make up the whole of this book it was a little confusing at times because there are just soo very many characters but once I got that worked out I really liked how this book played out.

The romance was a nice story-line and I think because these books are so content heavy with serious stuff we needed something to root for.

Again I am glad we got closure on a few things that were left hanging from book 1. I don’t want to give anything away I will just say that Reed is one heck of a good man and I love that he respects Josie and Zach the way that he does.

Again great narrators, two of my favorites.

Amazing

I love this series, but girl, does the Cincinnati Police know what you're writing about them? 😳😳 Glad there was less smut in this one than the last one though. I have suggested these books to a few of their officers though.

Go read ‘Where the Blame Lies’ first

Where the Truth Lives
This is my review for both ‘Where the Blame Lies’ and ‘Where the Truth Lives’ (no spoilers)

Both books offer complete stand-alone story arcs, but there is also an overarching story.
Or better said, a loose end from ‘Where the Blame Lies’ comes to a conclusion in ‘Where the Truth Lives’.
For this reason I would highly recommend reading both books, and reading them in the correct order.

I really enjoyed the romance and suspense in both of these books.
I liked the main characters, their character developments, the writing style and plot.
It was believable enough for me to enjoy and go along with, but not quite enough to give them a 5 star rating.
Some emotional reactions/ character developments seemed a bit too perfect and some physical details surrounding a kidnapping didn’t completely ring true to me.
Target audience is adults.

Both the books have the same narrators, and their performance was excellent.

Loved it

I loved this book and the audio was great. I was hooked right away. Teed and a great character and I love Josie and Zack for their own story. Liza is a great addition, as is Erin. This had a lot of mind bending twists. So good

This series should be mabe into movies!!!!!!

Hollywood can't come up with any new ideas so I don't know why they don't take these books and make them into movies I know I would watch them

The 1st book was 5 stars but this one is even better!!!!!

This is everything you want a mystery/romantic suspense to be!!!
Mia Sheridan I hope you write more books like this! This one is even better than the first. It’s so good. A great mystery, real suspense, and romance. It’s so hard to find books like this.
Please please please write more!!!!

The first book had some deep sadness and although this one has sadness it’s not like the 1st book and not as much either. It was just the right amount I think.

I love the narrators! Teddy Hamilton is a huge favorite and Callie Dalton was really good!
Highly recommend!

Beautifully Told

This was so real and told so well. I love how the two stories tied together and how it spanned a lifetime really.

One of the best I have read in a while. Don't miss out.

Plenty of Suspicion to Go Around

This is the second book in this series or the follow up to Where the Blames Lies, but I think you could read it as a standalone and wouldn't be completely lost but by reading Where the Blame Lies first would enhance this story. Ms. Sheridan did a fantastic job of keeping me interested in this story and making me want to find out what would happen next. I love a good mystery or suspense novel with a little romance mixed in and Ms. Sheridan does it really well in this two book duet. I really wish there were more books just because I love Josie and Zach and Reed and Liza...maybe a book about Erin? If you're looking for a good suspense novel check out this one and the previous one. I don't think you'll be disappointed as these are some of my favorites. They have very well developed characters and a storyline that will keep you guessing and suspecting everyone along the way. The narrators did a great job of bringing this story and the characters to life for me.

One of the best duo books I’ve read

Loved every part of it! I had to go back several times, and relisten towards the end, because it kept twisting and turning, back to back I read this series in 24 hours! Highly recommend!
