About this listen

Meet Quinn MacKenna, a black magic arms dealer from the mean streets of Boston.

Everything was going fine for Quinn…until she accidentally stole from Nate Temple.

She knows how to drink, fight, and steal dangerous magical artifacts - but not for money. For favors. Because all her life she’s wanted only one thing - a secret so dangerous and well-guarded that no one will give it up.

A ticket to the Land of the Fae so she can find her dad and finally get some answers about her past.

So she doesn’t ask questions of her clients, only favors, hoping that they will eventually add up to get her what she so desperately desires. And with her unique ability to nullify magic, the world’s deadliest artifacts - or the clients who demand them - don’t really impress her very much.

But that all changes when she accidentally robs the infamous Nate Temple, and finds herself in a much deeper world of monsters and conspiracies than she ever knew existed. Because Nate Temple and his friends aren’t the only things to be afraid of.

Now she has to worry about his enemies, too....

The newest antihero in the worldwide best-selling Nate Temple Universe by Shayne Silvers. Join Cameron O’Connell and Shayne at the literary bar to sip a dirty cocktail of feisty Irish brogue - with an unhealthy splash of monsters - today!

If you like KF Breene, Shannon Mayer, CN Crawford, Ilona Andrews, or Patricia Briggs, you will love the first installment of the Phantom Queen Diaries.

A new voice in the TempleVerse

I really liked Amanda Cobb's performance for this book. I usually have problems with "hearing" an accent when I am reading. Listening to this book really helped me to get Quinn's voice in my head. Quinn is a great addition to the Temple Verse. Cameron O'Connell has successfully written a story that can stand alone but fits really well in the work of Nate Temple. I did have a heard time getting into this book. But I can see the potential of where Quinn is headed, especially with crazy and mixed mind of Shayne Silvers driving this bus.

Love me some kick butt women!

Quinn is everything I’ve ever hoped for. She’s bright, beautiful, talks smack and kicks butt. I want to grow up and be Quinn. Problem is I’m old enough to be her mother. Good introduction to a new series . Love the narrator and I’m looking forward to hearing more.

Perfect Narrator

I struggled reading whiskey Ginger. Someone suggested I try the audible. The narrator makes Quinn come to life. I enjoyed every chapter and all the action. I am an avid reader but I love audible too. Some stories just translate better in audio. I can't wait to listen to the next one.

awesome

absolutely love this author, she gives Quinn this fantastic English accent but pulls it back for the other characters, which my sure is not easy to do but she pulls it off. I love this character and the narrator who portrayed her

Fantastic

I really enjoy this branch of the Templeverse. I was a little nervous about how much I would enjoy the audio version since we all have our own idea what characters should sound like especially so when, like Quinn, it is so unique. I an very impressed by the range of the narrator and of course I'm always impressed by the quality of the stories produced by Team Temple.

Absolute flawless perfection.

Seriously you do not want to miss out on the story itself, the amazing characters, or most importantly the glue that binds it all together. That glue being the exquisite narration. She unquestionably made this book the "must have" that it is in audio form.

Hooked on Quinn

Absolutely love the witty banter and the accent. But where is the rest of the series? Really disappointed I won't be able to listen to the rest of the series after such a great start. Wish I hadn't started this series since I can't finish it.

best Irish voice yet!

the reading is fantastic! the story is worthy a good read. being boston Irish character, I get the language..... but it also makes it unfit for me to share with my kiddos who enjoy Shayne Silvers stuff with me in most cases. that's the only reason my overall isnt 5 stars
