Lonely physiotherapist Harry Foster has the world at his feet. A full client list, a six-figure Instagram following, and a publishing deal for a book he doesn't have time to write until his agent offers him a break - a retreat to the wild southwest coast.
Cornish horseman Joe Carter is lonely too. Rescuing horses and managing Whisper Farm takes up most of his days, and by night he plays chicken with the farm's perilous bank accounts.
At his sister's unwelcome suggestion, he rents his only bedroom to a bloke from the city, and when Harry arrives, he's everything Joe isn't - calm, patient, and gorgeous enough to be exactly the kind of distraction Joe doesn't need.
Harry doesn't have time for distractions either - even shirtless farmers riding bareback past his bedroom window - but his moody host proves impossible to ignore.
On paper, they have nothing in common, but Joe is beautiful . . . glorious, and when an accident puts his life in Harry's healing hands, the whisper of true love is inevitable. If the trouble that put the farm on its knees in the first place doesn't get in the way.
Contains mature themes.

I officially can not say what story is my favorite anymore. I am officially obsessed with everything Garrett Leigh.
Good bye!
How??? How??

Garrett Leigh has a knack of ripping your heart out of your chest, stomping on it to the point you don’t know if you can recover, then putting it back together in the best way possible. Harry and Joe didn’t know it, but they were meant to be together and the roller coaster ride they go on to get there is angsty and phenomenal and perfect for them. I love how there are always connections to other stories and we always get to revisit certain characters from another story! I can’t wait for Rhys and Jevon’s story but for now, I just want to revel in Harry and Joe for awhile!
As with my last few reviews of these audios, the narration is getting easier to handle, You have to speed it up to 1.15x for it to be easier to listen to but it works and it’s much better that way! I still love these books and still highly recommend them!

You won’t find the gravelly, rushed narration of Dream. Here Grindell is thoughtfully paced and has easily distinguished characterizations - if I hadn’t known it was the same narrator, I would have thought they replaced him. Kudos on a great listen.
As for the story, there is less Britishness to navigate. No governmental offices or protocols that don’t easily translate without explanation. We are given a clear premise, well defined MCs and a great supporting cast. Leigh does a smooth job of integrating the leads from Dream. Nothing is forced as is seen in many series.
This is more slow burn, no sex club trysts in the first chapter here. Joe and Harry are well matched, and their chemistry only grows as the story progresses. For me, the real beauty of how Leigh crafted this story is the guys communicate. They share their stories with each other, and we don’t suffer through “I wish I said” moments.
The book still offers some twists and turns, but these fall in the realm of believable, which after Dream was a delight.
Highly recommend this title.
Has everything the first book missed - and more!

This narrator was so bad. It's like he was reading a play. The cadence if his voice was horrible. Its almost like he was counting as he read. I won't listen to anything with the narrator again. And he had the same voice for both men!
So So Story, bad Narrator
