About this listen

He’ll protect his best friend’s baby sister from anything…other than himself.

Rhyland

Dylan Casablancas is a forbidden fruit,

Undeniably delicious, but one bite just might kill you.

She’s my best friend’s baby sister, a single mom, and a royal pain in the ass.

When Little Miss Baggage moves downstairs to house-sit her brother’s Manhattan apartment, my potential business partner mistakes us as a couple.

He wants a family guy.

I want access to his billions.

And Dylan?

She needs a big, burly guy to scare off her loser ex.

Pretending to be engaged to the feisty girl next door gets messy when I take a bite of the illicit apple.

What can I say? I’m an instant gratification kind of guy.

We made a deal to walk out of each other’s lives once my contract is signed.

The only problem?

She might take my heart with her when she leaves.

Dylan

Rhyland Coltridge is out of the question.

Unless the answer is: “Who’s the biggest man-whore you’ve ever met?”

Hedonistic. Wild card. Utterly corrupt.

And those are just the traits the jerk prides himself on.

My life is too messy for a boyfriend. Even if it wasn’t, Rhyland would be the last man I’d consider.

He is supposed to be my ticket out of this nightmare.

But he’s fast becoming my wildest, most dangerous dream.

Author’s note: this is an enemies-to-lovers, fake engagement standalone with an alpha hero and a feisty heroine. Please check trigger warnings before listening.

This book got me out of a reading slump. The spicy was fantastic. The fmc was strong and not super annoying. I loved the change up in take of the MMCs negative experiences. There were some weird story line things that didn’t make sense like her career choice and the way a storm was described.
Can’t wait for the next story, hoping it’s Tate.

Some freaks! And I loved it 🔥

Well, I’m officially a sucker for the fake dating trope—and this story? Dylan and Rhyland? They were amazing.

Their relationship felt inevitable in the best way, and watching them fall for each other was one of the sweetest stories I’ve read. There are a few spicy scenes, but they don’t overpower the plot. That one scene though—on the phone, in the bathroom—oh my god. That might go down as one of my favorite scenes ever.

Bonus points: there’s no miscommunication trope here, which I loved. And the actual best part? Rhyland and Gravity’s relationship. Just... oh my god. I adored the two of them together.

And yes, the title is a Swift reference, and the FMC is a Swiftie—but it’s not heavy-handed at all. Just a cute little touch that adds to the charm.

Fake Dating? I'm In.

Although this is book 2 in the series, it definitely can we read as a true standalone. Well done! There was some mention of book1 but jut enough to give you just the right amount of back story without being disruptive to book2 storyline. I love the normalcy of the characters and how truly relatable they both are. This book has some dimension to it which gives you depth and really keeping you locked into it from start to finish.

Just when you think it cant get any better

I absolutely loved that this was about Ryland! Her story deserved to be told! And the fact that she made him change his ways not knowing that he was obsessed with her since she was younger! Hahaha and I love how her brother was like “that’s my sister” and didn’t back off which made Rhy (Dillan) stand up for herself! I loved it!! And the spice!! Yes please!!

Her story deserved to be told! Loved this for her!
