Eye opening

As white men, we sometimes get glimpses of how privileged we are. This book really opened my eyes to how the world treats those who are not as privileged. The depth of the entrenched gender roles is hard to ignore after reading this.

I understand Florence's path and thank her for sharing her story. I am, however, left with a question. How uncompromising should we be with our relationships? Should a relationship with your partner *never* be hard?

My wife and I read this and then we read Five Love Languages. Made for some real laughs at Gary's expense 😂

Wonderful, thank you Flo!!

I really enjoyed this audio book
Flo really dipped her toes into so many subjects that this really makes a great introduction into the world of feminism, self-awareness and growing into your whole human self.
She's also wonderfully aware of the privilege she holds and actively addresses it (I also much prefer her use of the word "marginalized" than the more common "minority" when referring to particular groups who face oppression) this made the book really comfortable for me (POC) to read.
This book does exactly what I was hoping, and I'm very happy to have read the audiobook! I would (and am!) reccomend this to others! :)

Not my thing!

I found 2 or 3 chapters useful and inspiring. However the rest was not for me at all. I didn’t enjoy the way the book was read, I felt almost like Florence was talking AT me, she also comes across as a “man hater” in my opinion. Over all not great if your not a massive feminist.
