Incredibly Effective

My wife bought this for herself recently, as she's been struggling with her emotions from a difficult relationship she has with a family member of hers. The strategies and concepts laid out in this are not only easy to apply, but they help the listener understand the source of their struggles. After listening, my wife has not only gained greater mastery over her anger and emotions, but a better understanding of herself and the nature of her relationships.

The narrator is engaging and easy to follow without being overbearing or droning on, and the content is well researched and easy to apply.

Anger is neither good nor bad...

That is a very interesting concept and totally different from what has been taught. This book has done a very good job at challenging the stereotypes that women face when it comes to anger. One major one is saying it’s ok to be angry! It’s all about how you handle it and why it’s important to your self preservation that you do. This book covers anger in great detail and gives solutions on how to handle it. The book is awesome for women but I think men shouldn’t be afraid to read it as well. A lot of relationships would definitely benefit from it. Great book!!

Good tools and tips

The number one take away for me from this book was journaling. I have never been much of a writer but this book emphasized the idea and it made sense to me and I am going to try to do this. It made sense as a good way to express your emotions without necessarily having to tell others about it but sometimes just writing it down helps.

Tons of other great information and that will be useful also. This was just my favorite part! Would recommend do you my friend!

Helpful look into emotions

My girlfriend and I listened to this one. We are big audiobook people, and we're always trying to improve our relationship. Though it’s geared toward women, I think there’s something here for men too. Both of us liked how it shows us that not all anger is bad; there are positive forms of it as well.

But we must be careful with it, as anger that goes unchecked can lead to anxiety and depression, and grief and trauma can send us back into anger, creating a vicious cycle of negative emotions. This audiobook helps us look at those emotions and break the cycle.

It also shows us how to be compassionate with ourselves and forgive ourselves for past mistakes. For all of those reasons, both my girlfriend and I enjoyed and recommend it.

Why do I get so angry?!!

Friends are often surprised when I admit that I struggle with anger issues. I’m usually pretty easygoing, but certain triggers can really set me off! This book has been instrumental for me to figure out what anger actually is, what my triggers are, and most importantly, how do I do a better job in controlling my anger. I think what struck me the most with this book is knowing just how detrimental anger can be for my long term physical health. As women, we wear so many different hats and take a lot of responsibility on ourselves, so it’s not surprising when we struggle with angry outbursts. I definitely recommend this book to any woman who might be feeling like their fuse is shorter and shorter each day. You’ll gain valuable insight on how to handle your frustrations in healthy ways.

This book is a fortune!

Buying this audiobook is one of the best decisions I made. Controlling my temper has always been my worst nightmare. This book is very informative, instructive, and is packed with pieces of advice that helped me to restraint my recurring anger outbursts. Most of the time I was denounced for my rage by my family and colleagues and I was emotionally disturbed. The author has perfectly brought up the techniques to keep down anger which has to be practiced over time. I am a very satisfied reader and would like to suggest this to anyone who's looking for an out-and-out companion to guide you with anger issues.

It provided me with healthy and accessible solutions. I absolutely loved the personal anecdotes, which make the content so relatable. Very grateful I came across this audiobook!

Yes, women do get angry, too!

Anger isn't reserved for men. And when either sex gets angry it can cause a toxic environment for everyone in the vicinity. I should know. I used to have a very angry female manager. She would get so angry you could see her eyes change, like she realized she was spinning out of control but was helpless to stop it. She would just get more and more wound up and just crazy! She reminded me of the old cartoon the Tasmanian Devil. I had to learn to not react to her outbursts (I learned to do a mantra: The angrier she gets, the calmer I get, over and over). It worked for a while, but I resigned, and as soon as I resigned she began taking her anger out on me. It was like being in the room with a creature, not a human being. I told the general manager about her and said I would be working from home for the duration of my notice. She was fired two weeks after I left.

This book gives anger creatures the skills they need to not poison the air around them. Give it to every Tasmanian Devil in your life. And if you're the Tasmanian Devil, get it for you and those you love.
