Publisher's summary

Coach Hudson Arrows wants to sweep Piper off her feet, the fact she's his niece's best friend? May just send him into overtime.

A scorching one-night stand with a stranger was supposed to be my night of adventure to enjoy and move on. I didn't expect that a few weeks later my friend would introduce said stranger as the man walking her down the aisle because he's her godfather and uncle. And I certainly didn't expect him to be a famous football coach who insists I escape with him to his small town lake house for a rendezvous. He may be old enough to be my dad, but the man's charisma is a winning touchdown straight to my lust-filled mind that agrees.

We keep our relationship a secret.

It doesn't take long for me to realize that there is more to Hudson than his dirty talking mouth and his persistence that I may be what he's been waiting for. What we have turns into something I didn't bargain for. But I'm not blinded by what is at stake once the world finds out about us. And I'm not sure if it's Hudson or me trying to convince us more, that together, we may just be worth the risk . . .

Contains mature themes.

Entertaining

Having read a number of books by Evey Lyon I was excited when I heard she had a new series releasing. Worth The Risk is the first book in her latest series and was a well written, entertaining story that ticked the boxes for me.
Age gap romance is not normally a genre I gravitate to but I took a chance and am glad I did. Hudson and Piper had a passionate one-night stand, two strangers who never expected to meet again until fate put them together again. Hudson is shocked when he learns that Piper is his niece’s best friend.
Complicating matters is that Hudson is in fact old enough to be her father, but the heart wants who the heart wants and the attraction that sizzles between them is impossible to ignore. However, there is so much more to Hudson than what he lets on and as Piper gets to know him she cannot help but fall for him.
The narration by Tim Paige and Marie Hawkins was so easy to listen too. Their voices are pleasant and they brought Hudson and Piper to life for me. Their performances did justice to the story that Ms. Lyons wove.
What will happen when their secret relationship is revealed? Will it bring them together or rip them apart?

Cocky male was annoying

I definitely didn’t like the male narrator and the male cocky attitude. Just a very boring story. Disappointed I paid for this.

The voices don’t match the characters age

Something was off, she didn’t sounds young enough and he didn’t sound old enough. Hard to imagine the characters when the voices didn’t match.
