About this listen

Xander is a 23-year-old Ember with dominion over a young dragon named Javelin. Ever since he was a child, Xander could produce and manipulate blue flame. The source of his power comes from another planet called Xeraxia, where magic is anything but scarce. There, his mother (once Queen of her country) is hiding from his super powerful, sadistic father who will do whatever it takes to destroy anyone or anything that opposes his violent, tyrannical rule as King.

When the King's threats reach Earth, Xander and his mother must find a way to deal with an impossible situation. Xander's already difficult life is turned upside down as he tries to handle his social life, his very gay love life, and as he tries to control his powers. Can he save his friends, Earth, and Xeraxia from impending doom before it's too late?

YouTubers are usually cringy writers, but I gave this book a shot because of its diversity and my enjoyment of Adrian. I was not expecting his first book to be this good. It shocked me, it brought me to tears, it gave me goosebumps. There were very few moments in which I saw something coming or when I cringed. I especially loved his voice over because the emotion felt real. The imagery is so good that I could easily visualize the scenes. Considering this is his first book, I’m extremely excited to see what he creates next.
PS: Don’t even get me started on those fight scenes .10/10.

I usually do not like the "creative ventures" of most social media personalities, but Adrian did a really good job! My only critique is that I wanted more. More world building, more fleshed out back stories, more that 4 1/2 hours of audio. I'm looking forward to any expansions or sequels he puts out.
