About this listen

Dark magic is forbidden at Zodiac Academy. That’s why I hide it so well. But now, I’m supposed to mentor Darius Acrux, the son of the most ruthless dragon shifter in Solaria. If he’s caught using blood magic, he’ll lose his claim to the throne. The problem is? Our families are up to something, and we’re determined to find out what. No matter what dark power we must turn to....

Welcome to Zodiac Academy, where your star sign defines your destiny. As the Fae of the future, you will soon learn the merciless way to claim your power. Life among the vampires, shifters, and sirens is no easy ride, but if you can make it through your exams, you might just be able to harness your inner strength and earn your place among the elite.

This is a prequel novella set five years before Zodiac Academy: The Awakening, the first book in the Zodiac Academy series.

worst narration

Narrator puts way too much emphasis in his speaking. He sounds like one big run on sentence! hard to listen to, couldn't understand the story.

Definitely have to read!!

Lionel is the worst!!! I feel like he is only going to get worse as the series goes on. I loved getting a glimpse into Darius and Lance's relationship and can't wait to see how it affects the rest of the books!

Crazy! Entertained me.

It was a crazy story and the narration was over the top but it truly entertained me. I’ll look for the others now.

The readers voice was very difficult to follow

Did not like the readers voice. I could not follow the story due to the voice.

Can’t get enough

I absolutely loved this!!! Hearing Darius and Lance when they still had hope and were not wrapped up in the things that come later in the series is both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Love the authors love the narrators, I am 100% a twisted sisters groupie at this point.

Eating it up!

I will devour anything the sisters put out with enthusiasm. This was no different. Solaria is such an incredible place.

It’s alright

The narrator puts weird emphasis on certain words. His voice is gruff, strained and lacks emotion. I’m hoping it gets easier to listen because the story is quite interesting.

The horrific narration

Could barely get past the narrators over exaggeration and mis-enunciation to even listen to the story.

Intense

This was such an intense opening into the world of The Zodiac Academy and the origins of Darius Acrux & Lance Orion. It definitely leaves you needing answers.

The narration was overly dramatic.

I’ve heard so much about this series so decided to start with this novella. To see if I would like it. I wanted to stop it several times because of the narration. A 14 y/o boy doesn’t have a voice like that. It was all distracting to the story line and often times overly dramatic.
