About this listen

Passion ignites, torn between desire and duty.

Love and loyalty collide in the aftermath of war, where Sorin consumes my every thought. Haunted by nightmares, the intensity of our connection blazes brighter than ever.

In the dead of night, he visits, whispering promises of a future that weakens my resolve. The fear of losing him becomes an inferno, overshadowing all else.

But destiny takes a wicked twist. When news arrives that the human king, now allied with Evren's father, has invited Starblessed contenders to compete for his hand in marriage, I embark on a perilous journey into enemy territory. My goal: to uncover the enigmatic ruler's hidden secrets.

Yet, Sorin, fierce and unwavering, refuses to let me face this danger alone. He risks everything to protect me.

Together, we navigate a treacherous realm of secrets and deception, shrouding my true identity as we unravel the twisted web spun by the human king.

As our desires intensify, so does the peril that surrounds us. Loyalties blur, and the line between friend and foe fades amidst an imminent threat.

In a world where trust is fragile and danger lurks at every step, we confront choices that will shape our destiny. Will we betray our hearts in the name of duty or plunge into the flames of an all-consuming love that could set realms ablaze?

In this breathtaking installment of the Stars and Shadows series, Thalia must confront her deepest fears, summon the strength to follow her desires, and embrace the power that lies within her. The kingdom's future hangs in the balance, and the choices she makes will shape the very fabric of all she holds dear.

i liked the flow of the book. i loved listening to the book until chapter 23 i had to put it down because the King was such an arrogant self righteous jerk i needed a break but the ending was so worth picking it back up....Go girl u kicked a**, saved your man and lived to tell the tale!!!

While this is a very decent story THIS is how audiobooks should be without being a performative audio! Even though it may be the FMCs perspective in some chapters, having the male cast deliver the MMC lines should always be the new standard!!! Please keep this format up!

Perfect Execution!

The MMC’s voice sounded as good as the first 3 books in this series. However, the FMC’s voice in this book sounded very much like AI and was not intriguing. Annunciation of some sentences felt way off and it was hard to listen to. The story itself was not as great as the first 3 either, but I cannot leave a series unfinished. Overall a decent book, but the audiobook recording could’ve been better with a more enthusiastic reader.

Audio sounded very AI

Great spin off! Loved the books I hope she write more about these two couples and their lives if they have children

This series really doesn’t have a strong plot. And the spice is just ok. It’s very repetitive. Not much world building. Not much character development. Bit of your just looking for something fun in between reads, it’s worth a listen. It was enjoyable enough for a good filler series in between reads. But the duet narration is what made it enjoyable. Both narrators are amazing.

Holly Renee’s A Kingdom of Fire and Fate is the kind of book you pick up for a quick chapter and then suddenly realize it’s 2 a.m. and you’ve devoured the whole thing. Thalia finally gets her moment in this sizzling, tension-filled final installment as she travels to the human kingdom on a secret mission and ends up entangled in the king’s dangerous game. King Henrick is the perfect morally gray character—charming, calculating, and impossible to pin down. But just when you think the choice is clear, Sorin enters the room and throws everything off balance. I was completely torn between the two, and Renee makes sure you feel every moment of that emotional tug-of-war.

The world of vampire fae that Renee has built across the series shines in this installment, even if I found myself wishing for more page time with Evren and Adara (who still own my heart). The plot twists kept me guessing, the chemistry was off the charts, and the entire story was packed with the kind of angst, spice, and high-stakes fantasy drama that makes this series unforgettable. I’m so sad it’s over, but what a way to end. If you love romantasy with heat, heart, and a heroine who doesn’t back down, this book is for you.
