About this listen

Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. His human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Brought back against his will, he became the sole defender of mankind.

Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he never wants revealed - until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence.

Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers, and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly...or more fun.

LOVE Acheron!

Where does Acheron rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would have have loved it even more had Fred Berman been the narrator. Holter Graham did okay, but at times he sounds like Captain Kirk. Fred is the man when it comes to these Dark Hunter books.

Which character – as performed by Holter Graham – was your favorite?

Not sure, as I said...he did better job narrating this book than others. But Fred nails the voices with different accents, etc.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Acheron finally gave in to the fact that he was in love with Tory and couldn't live without her.

Any additional comments?

It was worth the wait! And it answered so many questions from past books.

Amazingly beautiful and hits right at the heart.

i absolutely love this series I've read almost every book, I've hunted for this story on hard copy, I finally know the story of the most brooding man in the series, it's absolutely incredible how she brings the story to life it will play at your heart strings, but it's well worth the read.

Good story but a lot of skips and broken sentences

I'm listening to the books in order and the stories are done well but in this book a lot of parts are skipping or parts of sentences aren't being said.

Acheron

Although I like his book I like Styxx's better because Styxx gave more insight on what was actually happening and the whole story was told from his point of view. Ressa left way too much information out of her journals, and had she not been the short sighted bitch that she was Ash and Styxx might not have suffered as much but either way olive her better then the twins father and mother. As for their uncle I wish he suffered a long tortuous, agonizing, and slow death.
But I loved this book none the less.

Outstanding~

I've read eight of Kenyon's book and this one is, by far, the best. The narrator, Holter Graham, is now one of my favorites. I wish she would use him for every book. This story is full of love, hate, regret, hope, evil, honor, suspense etc. Everything all wrapped into one story. I am currently three hours from the end but no matter how Kenyon decides to finalize Acheron's story I know that I will be satisfied. I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook.
