Oh my lord!

This was a well told story of obsessive paraphilia. I knew it was in the extreme horror/splatterpunk genre, so I was prepared for it to get gross. I pride myself on on having an iron stomach, so I was incredibly surprised to find myself gagging during some of points of the story. Though I am always looking for books that create this sort of extreme reaction, if that's not your thing, I would advise you steer clear of this title.

Acrotomophilia

Acrotomophilia: The deriving of sexual gratification from fantasies or acts involving an amputee. After Willard's wife was distigured in a car accident, he found himself to be even more attracted to her.
Then, his obsession grew more everyday.

Seems like a wholesome story of a grown man finally discovering and exploring himself. In the most gruesome way possible. I look forward to Willard’s future misadventures.

Obsessed Willard.

Oh, ya. This book is disgusting. Depraved. Gross. Barf worthy. Violent. Ridiculous. Why did I enjoy it so much? I'm stumped! Acrotomophilia. Attraction to amputees. Who knew?
I was gifted an Audible version of this book. The narrator was great. A nice deep, sexy voice. Not at all suited to old man Willard. But I enjoyed him immensely. 5 stars for him, too.

Oh, Willard.

This is the story of a man who goes off the rails when he is left to care for his wife who is suddenly an amputee in a vegetative state after an accident for which he feels responsible. This new development in their lives awakens something in him, an amputee fetish. But as you’ll find, it’s much more than that. I found myself talking to Willard every time he descended just a little further into the dark recesses of his new hobby.

While I did like this one, I will say that some of the descriptions of sex and body parts were not great. But you know what, Caummisar is not an erotica writer. She writes horror. You are meant to be disturbed, not turned on and she accomplishes that.

Shocking?

From a dark mind is putting it lightly... LoL... Williard is one sick puppy, I was not really shocked, I mean nothing in this book is something that I am into, but since it was free I thought I would check it out, But if it is your thing I am sure you will like it. The narrating by Sean Grabosky was actually quite good as was the writing, I will continue to listen to some of Sea Caummisar's other works.

Good Short Nasty Fun

This is the second book I have listened to around acrotomophilia. This one was quite a bit different and definitely more nasty. I didn't find it as graphic as I thought it could have been, but it was gross. Honestly I think I prefer graphic over gross. This also went a bit extreme with the acrotomophilia that didn't entirely sit well with me, especially since I listened to another story that really delved into the psyche of that person and really helped explain the inner turmoil of being that way. Definitely not a book for everyone, but if you like weird fetishes and want a decent story to gross you out more than frighten you,

Sean Grabosky did a good job with the narration. I like his voice and cadence. The one thing that seemed a bit weird is the sound of the narration reminded me of old timey radio shows. I can't quite put my finger on what it was but it sounded quite different from any other book I have listened to. Wasn't a bad thing, just took a bit to get used to.

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
