"Scottish romance at its finest, with characters to cheer for, a lush love story, and rousing adventure. I was captivated from the very first page. When it comes to exciting Highlander romance, Julianne MacLean delivers." (Laura Lee Guhrke, author of the Abandoned at the Altar series)

Great narrator and story

Narrator:

I often base my audible choices on listener comments.

I'm happy I decided to IGNORE the one person who said they disliked the narrator. (See Claimed by the Highlander: Highlander Series #2 reviews, same narrator)

I've heard bad narrators, and Antony Ferguson IS NOT a bad narrator! I suggest that people should make their own decision based on the excerpt that can heard in the book sample, and not base their decision on what one person wrote in a review. (This suggestion is for me as well as everyone else) And I'd like to see that reviewer, from Texas, who probably has a Southern drawl, try to narrate a whole novel with different accents from Scotland and England!

Story:
Well thought-out story. Really had a hard time putting down my earphones with this one. I didn't give it five stars because, for me, the story has to be exceptional to receive that mark. That said, it was totally worth my credit! And hot!

Where is the tenderness?

First off, I should of never heard Carrington McDuffe's take on the Scottish brogue. Her's sounds like it could be natural. This reader's is more forced. As far as the story goes, I liked it. What I did not like is when the couple does start to have feelings for each other there is no tenderness from him. I get the fact that he's a highlander and will be brusk most of the time. However, even when they were alone there was no tenderness from him. Will I continue with the series, maybe. I am interested in what happens between Angus and his father. Will I listen to the series, I am not so sure. I may decide to read it.

Connection Problems between characters

The problem I found with the authorship of this book is the connection between the male and female leading characters. The author honestly doesn't describe a true deep relationship. It seemed superficial at best for me.

Well Done

I truly enjoyed this book. I know the Highlander thing has been done to death which makes it difficult to find a good one, but Ms. MacLean did it right.

Not So Great

What did you love best about Captured by the Highlander?

i liked the setting in the Highlands.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Captured by the Highlander?

i really liked how he did not kill the heroine. he was going to but then he just married her instead.that's gonna be a lasting relationship.

Have you listened to any of Antony Ferguson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No this was my 1st and hopefully last. His accent was funky.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no. i barely got thru with my sanity intact.

Truly amazing story!!!

Unexpected turn of events from it's first chapter to the last chapter. As you listen to this story you are always kept in suspense. What better ending when goodness prevails alongside true love. Love the main characters so strong in personality and desire.

Tedious

A bit different take in a highland book. Some may like. Not my cup of tea. Next book is about Angus, whom I do not like in this book. Won’t be listening to the series.

Very Good

I truly enjoyed this book. There was suspense with history included. Different from other books in a unique way.
