About this listen

Owen Richards lives a quiet life in his small hometown of Haven's Cove. He has a rewarding life consisting of three very supportive - not to mention feisty - women, and a successful bakery that he owns and absolutely loves. Yet, Owen can't seem to shake this emptiness inside or the intense feeling that something is missing. A sudden encounter with a man from his past, one he despises, turns his entire world upside down. When Owen finds himself attracted to that sexy man, he questions everything, including his sanity. After all, only an incredibly disturbed person would find that he can't stop thinking about his high school bully.

Brody Walker never expected to return to Haven's Cove. He's made a life for himself in Boston, where he can truly be the person he was always meant to be. But an unexpected call has Brody facing all the demons he'd left behind so long ago. Now, he's faced with not only a difficult goodbye, but one long overdue apology to a man who is no longer that lanky kid from high school. The challenge is to convince the guy he's changed - and also prove he's worth taking a chance on.

Contains mature themes.

This story was such a delight, had some unfair circumstances that were just soul crushing. The characters ALL are beautifully depicted in this story

… for combining good writing, and great storytelling with political and social relevance, and seamless eros.
I’ve always resented the segregation of erotic literature and literature. Books such as these give me hope.

Quinn deserves acknowledgment…

I enjoyed the characters all of them to include that prick of a dad getting his nose broken by Owen, way to go Owen. I truly enjoyed listening to this audio and the Narrator is amazing and the Author J. Quinn is an amazing writer.

The bully falling in love with the boy he bullied made for a great story. I loved the friendships between all the characters as well. Sean knocked the narration out of the park as usual.

Loved this

I mostly enjoyed this one. It was a little slow in places, or maybe I was too distracted and unable to really sink into the story. It isn’t going on the favorites list, but I’ll happily grab another title from this author.

I love narration by Sean Crisden, but I felt like this wasn’t his best work. It seemed a bit flat through some sections, character voice differentiation was little wobbly sometimes, and even the emotional stuff… I’ve heard him do better.

Some topics that could be upsetting, so check that if it might apply to you.

I still recommend the book. Just with these caveats.

Pretty good
