About this listen

Since she's creeping up on the age of bearing service, the Earth government wants Jassa to have a baby and then hand it off for a family to raise, but Jassa wants her own family. Which means calling Celestial Mates. One questionnaire, a bit of blood, and a race to get away from the Department of Population, and she's got her wish - tall, sexy as hell, and occasionally green alien Vroe, the High Warlord of Vialea.

Vroe aches for a mate who doesn't see him as just a rise in status. He wishes for warmth and affection and goes to Celestial Mates to find...Jassa Marizen. Yet his ideas about mating - Jassa mating him and forever being known as only Vrya - collide with hers. She doesn't want to lose her past. He wants her to embrace her future.

And then there's this other woman.... She just wants Vroe to herself.

Contains mature themes.

This needed more.. I do not know what but more.

This book was a mix for me. I love Sci-Fi books and with that I have to remember that romances tend to be quick at at times out of the blue. This is what happened with the book. Earth, again is acting crazy, so Jassa has to flee in order to have a mate and have kids. I know the formula of a Sci-Fi story.

When they first meet it was not insta-love but damn close. I liked it for what it was a very generic romance. I am not saying that I did not enjoy it but I would have loved a lot more world building. This book is mainly based around places that have beds but no sex until the last 2 chapters.

I liked Vroe and Jassa individually but I do not know how I feel about them as a pair. Again, I would have loved more building. I want to know the background about the two and why is Earth acting crazy in this series. I understand that it is short but I wanted and need to know more.

A sexy romance with a lot of humor and a strong female roll♥️

Totally enjoyed the world and story, the characters were great. I found myself chuckling out loud often, the humor was just right and whew, the steam was right on point as well!

However the female narration was not worthy of the female lead and so was quite distracting to me.
The male lead narration was great so it helped cover up the female problem.

Cute Story

This was a nice story although there were a few WTF moments, I still liked the overall story. It was quick and fun.

Pretty good story!

I enjoyed this story. I won't say it's my favorite, but it's still a good story. I like the characters, but they could have used a bit more development. I think it was a good story, but there wasn't a lot to it. It took place over a short two maybe three days. It took me 4 hours and 35 minutes to listen to it, but in that time I didn't feel any connection to the characters or what their futures would be. I liked it, but there needs to be more. I'm going to listen to book 2, though, and hopefully it will have a bit more story and character development.

Wish it was longer

This book was fun to listen too. Light and easy. Just disappointed it wasn't longer.. It finished way to early. Well written and narrated.

Unique story

Loved it! I liked that it’s not the typical alien storyline. The narration was also very good.

Easy listen

Enough depth to characters to appreciate them. Easy flow to story. Narration is very good, smooth.

Pretty Standard SciFi Romance Book

This was no better or worse than most Scifi Romance books. It could have used a bit more to the story.
I also giggled when the narrator mentioned the author's name and pen name and added, "and Nicole Poole reading as Justine O Keef." I love her voice and can spot it anywhere!

Flop

Extremely promising to begin with but then the book mired down in angst which was quite disappointing. I even tried fast forwarding to get past it and onto the story but it just continued on so I called it quits.

Good read!

I enjoyed the characters and thought the part with the puppycats was cute. Sex scenes without being overtly obsene. I thought the reader did a good job.
