Publisher's summary

Several months after a girls' trip, elves Lurielle, Ris, and Silva are still affected by their experiences at the resort and the orcs they met there.

Lurielle discovers that being in a multi-species relationship presents its own unique challenges: meeting Khash's family, introducing him to hers, and facing the harsh realities that lie ahead if they stay together. A lifetime together or a lifetime apart—she must decide if she can bear all that the future holds.

When Ris returns to the resort, an unexpected encounter with a slightly familiar face upends this elf's desire to be a free as the wind. Ainsley is simultaneously everything and nothing that she's looking for—smart and sexy and completely unattached, and happy to stay that way . . . but how long can they keep things casual?

Silva struggles juggling her two halves: Daytime Silva, crushed beneath the expectations of her family and Elvish society, and Silva of the Nighttime, unfettered and free, seeing Tate in secret. She must make a choice—will she follow the carefully mapped life of privilege her family has planned for her or throw it all away to follow her heart, for a man with his own heart full of secrets?

Contains mature themes.

In Love With Cambrick Creek

Just another beautiful little taste of Cambrick Creek. Came for the smut, ooh-ed and awed at the sweet love stories

So in love with these characters and their stories! By far my favorite world building from any fantasy romance writer. Where are all the real hot gentlemen perfect orc men at irl?

Fun times!

I loved hearing all 3 of the girls’ adventures with their wonderful and intriguing orc boyfriends! Good work by the narrator too with the various accents!

Great continuation of the series!

Book 2 is every bit as captivating as book 1! And I was so glad that it was longer! He character development and balance between all three story arcs is on point. I can’t wait for book 3!

Really good

I love C.M. Nascosta's books, I've read or listened to every one. This one is longer and encompasses not one, but three romances of three close friends which I liked.
The three friends, Lurielle, Silva, and Ris are Elves who find love with Orcs, which is against their families and Elvish society's wishes/expectations. The parallels to to real life for the reader are great, but I wish Nascosta didn't dwell QUITE so much on the characters' insecurities and self loathing. It became a little repetitive and depressing after a while. (I had to take a break from listening when Lurielle moaned for the fifth time about how she was fat and not good enough.) I understand that the plot revolved around the self conscious friends, but I would have liked to see the three of them supporting each other more. Instead of sharing their woes, they had endless inner monologues of self loathing.
The second half of the book was better as the friends finally confided in each other and in fact did support each other. Then it ended. In a cliff hanger! Damn you Nascota! don't you know we HATE cliff hangers?!
Can't wait for the next book. I would recommend that anyone reading this review wait for the next book before purchasing. That's what I usually do when I see 'cliffhanger' in the review.

Love this series!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I loved the balance in this book between all three ladies' romances. Lurielle and Khash navigate their different worlds, Ris realizing what she wants and Silva trying to move away from all her family expectations. There is a cliffhanger that is so worth it! Can't wait for book 3!

Sweet steamy and funny

i love all that this author writes, the stories are so cute. there is angst but not to a point where it is annoying or doesnt make sense. my only complaint are the abrupt endings to both books. but if there is a third coming i will gladly put up with it. 10/10 and I dont say that lightly this book was a joy to listen to

I enjoyed the difference in each couples relationship

will there be a continuation of the story? If not I'm not a fan of how it ended .

Excellent voice narration

Narrator does great voices for each character. Plot is steamy and interesting and characters are lovable. Definitely one of my favorite authors.

Even more delightfully angry with the cliffhanger

I read this book right after Girls Weekend and was so gutted with the cliffhanger. However, I LOVE these guys and girls. They are all very flawed and in love and trying to sort themselves out alone and together which makes it hit a little harder and more real.

The best thing about reading and then listening for me is that I pick up on little details I might have missed or get a different take on how something was said which shades the situation differently. Sierra Kline was great and I really enjoyed her voices for each of them.

The only thing I didn't like was the rush at the end. In the book the cliffhanger hits you like a train. In this audiobook, there isn't that blank page to let it sink in so there is no pause when the narration just skips immediately to what I consider the deleted chapter. Don't get me wrong, I love having that extra at the end and I LOVE having the guys' points of view (hope Nascosta does this more in the next book), I just wish the narration took a bit of a longer pause to let it all sink in.

I LOVE Tate and Silva and I almost wish they had their own book. I will angerly wait for book 3 and consume all other books in this world in the meantime because I can't get enough!

Spoilers -
what I really liked about having read and then listened is that I got a much better sense of how old Tate really is and how much magic he uses on the regular. Nascosta definitely trolled us romance readers by making Silva run through the tropes and I was both annoyed and laughing because YES I want one of those freaking HEA tropes to land.
