Rough story. But I think this is my favorite couple. She is strong and sensible and he is so sweet underneath all the pain and scars. I really rooted for them.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I also absolutely adored the sweet accent of Maddie when Flame was processing what she said, the narrator did change that accent when she was speaking as Maddie herself. Don't know why that was, I liked the voice better as Flames point of view. The book itself was my FAVORITE of the series!!!! It was just heartbreaking all the childhood trauma that Maddie and Flame endured. 😧 They were absolutely perfect together, and you couldn't help but love Flame.

If you have read the previous two books in this series you will understand how this book tears out your heart at what the characters have been through. You will already have an idea of the overreaching plot.

This is my second time listening to this book. I thought I would never listen to it again because my emotions were all over the place with Flame and Maddie's story. Their pain was heartbreaking to read/listen. The romance between them was so sweet but at times you wanted to cry for things they went through. I don't know what else to say except in this story you root for the person you may perceive as depraved to get his happy ever after.

The content matter of this series may be hard for some to read or listen to. There is explicit language throughout the entire series. This series also deals with the aftermath of escaping from a cult. It may contain triggers because it talks about rape, violence, extremist groups, family abuse, and incest. All of which can be off putting. But Tillie Cole writes such complex characters. The world building of the Hades Hangmen is awesome. You can almost picture everything.

There are seven books in this series. I can honestly say that Souls Unfractured (book 3) and Crux (book 6) are my favorites of the entire series. Even though it was actually the first book with May and Stixx that reeled me in.

If you can handle all the darkness in these stories, this is the series for you. The credit you spend on this book is well worth it.

I wanted Flames story from book 1. Flame and Maddie were perfect for one another and their backgrounds were devastatingly sad. I am glad they found their happiness.

I fell in love with this story of Maddi and Flame. They are both so broken and closed off to the world. Neither of them can stand touch and have been destroyed in the most devastating of ways. Check your trigger warnings as this book is brutal and devastating and touches on some hard topics. Tilli Cole did a fabulous job writing this story so you can relate to all the emotions these two are experiencing. Maddi is finally free from the cult that has taken everything from her and is trying to move on with her life. Flame is determined to protect Maddi from everything and will burn the world down for her. When Flame gets lost in his head Maddie is the only one who can pull him from the darkness. I loved how these two slowly became more to each other. She was his light in his darkness and helped him get closure on his past. This book was absolutely intoxicating, and the narration was on point. I felt like I was right in the book with then characters. Definitely glad I listened to this on Audible fantastic experience.

Great story, great narrators, great point of view on abuse, and recovery! I don't normally share my reviews, because who am I right? If your looking for mc sluts, club antics, basic mc sex scenes, ect., this would be the WRONG book for you because there is NONE! Regardess of being in the completely wrong catagory in Audible (drama would have been my sugesstion) it waa an intense listen.

This book made me sob-not just cry, SOBS ripped out of me without being able to stop them. Flame was my favorite POV I didn't care for Cain popping up every so often though his narrator was good. I wanted to know what Flame was feeling almost the whole book but I also liked getting Maddie's POV. Maddie is the best heroine I've ever encountered in a novel-she's kind and loving and gains self esteem she leads Flame without being overbearing and without assumptions I adore Maddie. And Flame is everything. Seriously I have never felt so much for a character in a novel- I mean he is so broken and alone even with those who love him-his best friends- he's trapped in his mind by what happened to him but then Maddie comes into his life. I think what made this book so amazing is that instead of only one person being torn apart and broken inside they both were and it wasn't all about Maddie. If anything the focus was Flame and by helping him heal Maddie healed as well. This book is a masterpiece-though so many devastating, disturbing, nauseating and truly evil things are described-check the warning at the bottom of the book description before getting this book-it is NOT for the faint of heart or anyone who has experienced child abuse/rape-YOU WILL BE TRIGGERED!
