About this listen

Max Westin. Sex incarnate. She could smell it, feel it with his proximity. Everything about him was a little rough, a little gritty. A primitive creature. Just like she was.

He held her hand a little too long, his thickly lashed gaze clearly stating his intentions to have her. To tame her...

"Victoria".

Her name, just one word, but spoken with such possession she could almost feel the collar around her neck.

"It's in your nature," he murmured. "The desire to be taken."

In this game of cat and mouse, everything is an illusion but the passion is as real as it gets...

I've listened to Day's other audiobooks and enjoyed them so was eagerly awaiting this publication…. what a let down.

You know when you have to write a 2000 word essay so you you use 2 words when 1 will do and repeat points over and over again ad nauseam? That's what this is like. Day repeats a character's motivation or reasoning so many times its' horrifically annoying.

The sex was ok but felt manufactured and formulaic.

The narrator seemed to be on auto pilot with a sing song voice that didn't build any tension or atmosphere.

Stick to Day's other books.

So disappointing

I hate speaking ill of a book but this one just did not catch my attention. I think the book was just too short to really have a lot of character development which made it hard to connect to the characters and care about them. I just wish she had taken more time to iron out the characters and details, and written more pages. Check out the Crossfire Series! you won't be disappointed!

I would pass on this one

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

No one

What could Sylvia Day have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Story is Ok, but narrator is absolutely AWFUL

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tanya Eby?

Anyone! The narration was monotone.

What character would you cut from Spellbound?

Could not finish it

Any additional comments?

The poor narrator made this this story unbearable! I could not finish the story!

Man... sometimes I just love love love Sylvia Day's books... and sometimes I just hate hate hate them... This is a hate... I totally get the jest of the book...but... man... I just cannot connect with the characters... I almost felt like I was listen to a dull down version of Crossfire, but Gideon is a wizard and Ava is a familiar... (Yes, a cat) who keeps changing to cat form in the most inopportune times...

Eh!

Narration was pretty good though...

Maybe a credit... you really can't tell with Day... some just love everything she does, and some are like me...a bit more picky with Day books...

Credit at your own risk.. :)

Another Day love/hate

I have read many of her books and this one fell flat. Definitely not her best work.

This story started off with the story line and just led you along like you were in the story with her characters
