Good story. Hate the idea of waking in on your husband having sexy with someone else. Everything happened for a reason. The one thing that I had a hard time with was the narrator speaking the male voice. It made me cringe. It sounded kind of winnings. Over all good story.

This is my first by Alis Dale. For this story it needed a more mature voice for the female.

Loved this book, the characters were exciting and the sex was very hot & detailed. The narration by Ms Dale was wonderful, she really hit the emotions perfectly.

I have nothing bad to say about this book nor anything particularly great. It's a fine book but not memorable. It's about two old friends finally getting together and having the best sex ever. But the couple has no real issues and no real struggle to get together other time and relationships in between. So it's pretty predictable, but there's no attempt to make it otherwise. So it's a good listen for someone who wants an easy, romantic read with a lot of sex that's only a little bit, very little, explicit. I like this narrator, generally, but I would've preferred another one for such a light story. So my narrator rating is more like a 2.5 as used in this particular story. It was a bit too easy, too pat for me. Though the author surely knows how to write sensual, romantic love scenes.

This is a sweet love story with really hot love scenes. Wasn't thrilled with the narrator. She sounds like she's trying to talk without moving her lips! I found that very distracting, but after the first half of the book I got used to it.

This was a pretty good story. I read Leave Me Breathless and knew the characters from that story. It was nice to see how Evan and Kelsey got together.

Kelsey is a nice woman that hasn't had a good personal life. She married a man that didn't treat her well and ended up leaving her for her friend's fiancee. The friend, Evan, is someone she's always wanted but they've always been friends only. Once their significant others split with each other, Kelsey and Evan find themselves in a tough position, fighting to keep their friendship.

Evan's a good guy and a lawyer. He's always been a player and when he finally gets engaged his fiancee cheats on him and leaves him. He's not really broken up by it and moves on. When he realizes he still has a prepaid honeymoon that he needs to use, he invites Kelsey along. He's always had an attraction to Kelsey but the timing was never right for them and he wonders if now might be the time.

We get to see an intro to Kelsey and Evan before the trip to Hawaii and the attraction between them is strong. Once they get to Hawaii they finally end up succumbing to their attraction. Kelsey is very unsure and freaked though and still unsteady from her divorce. She keeps thinking things won't work out and doesn't have the confidence she should. Evan on the other hand, is seeing that Kelsey is just what he wants and now is the perfect time. He goes about trying to convince her they will work together.

Things are actually going pretty well for them when trouble sends them back home abruptly (a couple days ahead of schedule). They hadn't had time for a clear discussion and, with pressures from friends and family (and Exs) their new relationship doesn't fair well. There's some drama and courage is needed to get things back on track. Fortunately, Kelsey has it in her to make a leap and her and Evan end with a good HEA.

This was an enjoyable story. I like Kelsey and Evan and was happy for their HEA. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series. I'd recommend this story. :D

Pretty good start to the series

After reading the reviews, I knew this book would be all about sex, my biggest surprise was how long it took them to finally make it to the bed. Both main characters were secretly in love with the other and this story is mostly about second chances. I bought this book so long ago on a sale, I'm trying to clear out my library of older books. I wonder why I bought it because it really isn't my typical choice, it wasn't that great but was tolerable. Probably the best and the worst part was this line after the heroine gave a bj to the hero she said "I think you have performed an exorcism" it was the cheesiest sex line I ever heard. It was so dumb, but worth the incredulous laugh that it gave me. Narrator was okay, not as bad as some of the other reviewers were going on about but not my favorite.
