A THIEF WITH NOTHING TO LOSE...

Juliet is beautiful, intelligent...and one of the best thieves in all of London. Raised in the cutthroat streets of St. Giles, she's learned to survive by whatever means necessary. Even if those means include pretending to be a highborn lady to avoid capture by The Wolf, one of Bow Street's most cunning runners...and the only man to ever set her blood on fire.

A RUNNER WITH A SCORE TO SETTLE...

Grant is charismatic, titled...and second-in-command of the Bow Street Runners. When his captain orders him to find and arrest the lad who has been stealing jewelry from the ton's elite, he thinks it's just another job. Until the lad turns out to be a five-foot, four inch red-haired hellion with a penchant for knives...and the softest lips he's ever kissed.

A DANGEROUS AFFAIR...

Juliet and Grant's daring game of cat and mouse will take them from the glittering ballrooms of Grosvenor Square to the dangerous alleys of the East End as they try to outwit one another...and fight their growing passion. But when an enemy from Juliet's past threatens her future, she has no other option except to trust the runner she has sworn to hate. Forced to choose between duty and desire, will Grant listen to his head...or risk everything to follow his heart?

Contains mature themes.

Cat and Mouse Game

Loved the 3rd Bow Street installment! The author is fabulous and so is Mary Sarah! Juliette was raised in St. Giles and new nothing else but stealing to live and eat. She was one of the best Jewel Thieves but only took from those who had enough. Grant was a solider, a Dukes son but did not want a life of luxury. He wanted to be a Bow Street Runner and he was good at it. He was the Wolf.

His task was to find the jewel thief. But he was looking for a man and when he encounters a lad he is shocked. He is even more shocked when he finds out he is a she. During there cat and mouse games they both have feelings about each other. Grant can only think in black or white, right or wrong there is no other to him. A great read with a wonderful ending and a great start to book 4.

I liked the entire storyline. It was intriguing, interesting, exciting, sweet love story. Narrator is my absolute favorite- Mary Sarah- so talented.

Not as Good as the First Two Books

I didn’t really enjoy this book of the series. Not like I enjoyed the first two. It’s unbelievable. Trite. Tedious. The cat and mouse goes on forever. The two MC’s don’t have much interaction. No meaningful conversations. Beyond trying to arrest and evade, some stolen kisses, there just isn’t much substance. There are some gratuitous steamy scenes, but nothing to stop the press for. Not the author’s best effort. Mary Sarah knew this, so the narration was half-hearted at best.

just okay

Again frustrating writing style with constant hopping from current to the past in the middle of conversations. So irritating since it can affect the flow and you can lose the gist of not only the conversation but the entire moment.
