Thought Provoking

Honestly, I don't read many self help or motivational books because... well... they're kind of cheesy and they all basically say the same thing, but I knew Miss Anna was very excited about this book, and I enjoy watching her on YouTube, so I wanted to support her by purchasing even an audible copy and I was not disappointed.

Anna's writing is fluid, poignant, and heavily relatable as another plus sized, anxiety ridden, girl trying to navigate the world of idyllic standards. Her advice is woven fluidly into personal accounts of her life growing up and it's things that helped her specifically and not just generic self help advice you maybe read on a poster, or a news article online.

Her reading is articulate and (mostly) precise but encapsulates her personality, never losing sight of the fact that this is HER story, and not someone else's which I think is the books truest accomplishment. The hiccups in her reading are an amazing example of what she is trying to portray through this book, that human are imperfect beings that make mistakes. 10/10 would listen again.

Loved it

Very helpful in seeing a different perspective, helping yourself through a thought process of being an over thinker and not being self confident. Thank you Anna for being an inspiration.

Great Content and Delivery!

I absolutely loved this book. Anna not only gave personal examples of the content she was discussing, but she was relatable, funny, and her delivery made this book really fun to listen to. I found myself bookmarking a lot of areas to go back and listen to again. A lot of "self help" books sometimes talk down to the reader, unintentionally of course, but not this one. This one addressed a lot of real life issues that people face everyday and moved through each topic with inspiring words to address them. A great read!

It's true to the writer...

it just made me realize I like her less than I thought I did. I think there's a real person in there but she's tricked herself into that toxic positivity that's so exhausting. She could have used some more vocal coaching prior to recording.
other YouTuber books were so much better for me.
