About this listen

I never said I was engaged to Alex Stone (a.k.a. the richest man in Eureka).... My douchey ex just assumed I was, and I didn’t correct him.

You see, I was having a moment. I was out of work, out of money, and Alex had just offered me a lifeline by hiring me to be his live-in nanny for a month. So when Drake the douche starts going on about what a hot mess I am at my best friend’s wedding, I kind of let him believe we were a thing. I never said the word fiancé, and I definitely never expected Alex to play along.

Alex Stone is one of those list-topping billionaire businessmen types. He’s controlled, formal, and never makes a bad decision. He’s also tall, dark, and brutally handsome, with smoky hazel eyes, wavy brown hair, and a bod that will melt your brain. (A detail I happen to know after accidentally catching him just out of the shower naked.)

The plan is he’ll secretly be my fake fiancé for the night, no harm done. But when the douche stays longer than the wedding, our “engagement” stops being a secret. And when Alex decides there are things we should know how to do if we’re engaged (like making out and sleeping together), my lie really gets out of control.

Because it’s one thing to be fake engaged to the hottest, richest man in town who also happens to be your live-in boss. It’s a little twist to find yourself falling in love with him.

A Little Twist is a steamy small-town single-dad/nanny romance with a fake engagement twist. No cheating. No cliff-hangers.

Single Dad / Fake Relationship

I read the first book of this series when it first came out. I finally got to listen to this one and I am so glad that I did.

This audio was done so well and by two of my favorite narrators.

I loved the characters and story of this one. Alex Stone is a hot single dad with the cutest kid ever!
Cass is a fiery woman that I love... She is trying to figure out what to do with her life. Alex has the perfect solution.

These two have great chemistry, and I felt like I was in the story with them. There is little drama. This is a good heartwarming read with a few bumps.

Now on to the next in the series....

A Little Twist

This was a good 🎧book with some drama, angst, single dad with hot nanny(former childhood friend). The narration was okay it would’ve been pretty close to perfect if they had made it a “Duet Narration” listen instead. It has a nice HEA but it felt a little rushed toward the end...It needs more smexy times.💋Is it worth the credit? Yes it is 😘

Tia’s writing is fab // perfect narration

I adore this book, the secret mutual pining, the fake relationship and Cass bonding with Pinky is absolute perfection.

Alex and Cass are faking a relationship because of a guy from her past. But turns out….there have been *feeeeeeeeelings* for a while.

Cass is also nannying Pinky (Alex’s daughter) and their relationship and bonding was just so dang perfect and heartwarming.

This whole book was perfection. I hybrid read and listened to it and the narrators did an amazing job!

I disliked the ex so much the fact that its not resolved and will carry onto the 3rd book means I will not be reading the next one.

Fake becomes real

A Little Twist follows A Little Taste where we are back in Eureka, South Carolina with the Stone brothers. These are standalone books that have the same characters intertwined. This one gives us Cassidy and Alex's story, and it begins when our couple were young and innocent and carries to the present where Cass feels her life isn't going anywhere, and Alex is juggling a daughter and a growing business. When a misunderstanding occurs with Cass' ex then the "twist" begins.

I love the stories this author weaves with her words but I think this one may be my favorite yet. This small town has all the quirks of a small town as well as all the love you feel when you know your neighbors. I could picture Pinky, Alex's daughter, and her sassy ways. I could feel the emotions Cass felt about her family. I even felt the struggle Alex felt of always being in charge and trying to control all situations around him. This book has great side characters and a great story with a mystery that lingers from book one to this one. Small-town shenanigans are running wide open. This book also has a message that is cleverly woven into the story about family and belonging. I enjoyed it so much and am looking forward to the third book which will be about Adam Stone and his friend Piper. I highly recommend this book. You don't have to have read A Little Taste to read this one but it was also really good and I recommend it as well. Britt and Aiden have a great story as well that continues in this book so check it out.

Connor Crais, and Kirsten Leigh have the perfect voices for Alec and Cass and they do a great job of bringing this story together. Loved listening to both of them.

Wonderful story

I absolutely loved listening to A Little Twist and have already re-listened to it a few times. Connor Crais and Kirsten Leigh were fantastic narrating this story and bringing all the characters to life. I thoroughly enjoyed Alex and Cass together and Pinky was just adorable and I loved her interactions with her dad and Mama Cass. This has become one of my favorites.

Absolutely loved!

I absolutely loved this! Alec & Kass are so great together, like the perfect fit. Add in an adorable 4 year old and you have perfection. Connor Crais is always a joy to listen to, and Kirsten Leigh did a great job. I’m not sure what else I can say beyond that. Beside the fact that you just must listen to it!

Love this small town!

“𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖. 𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆.”

I loved being back in the small town of Eureka! I was so excited for Alex’s book since being introduced to him in 𝘈 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦, and Tia did not disappoint. From the very first instant when Alex stumbles upon the effervescent Cassidy as a teenager and how hard he fell from that first look left me in a chokehold. But it’s many years later when he finally has the chance to win the girl who he’s been secretly pining after for all these years.

I loved Cass so much because she’s almost thirty and doesn’t have her life figured out. She’s done a ton of odds and end jobs, but nothing has truly captured her heart in a way to make a more permanent mark on her life, except for kids. While at Britt’s wedding, Alex finds out his mother will be leaving, so he’s in dire need of childcare. He asks Cass if she would be his daughter’s nanny, and she jumps at the opportunity. During the wedding, Cass runs into her ex and a way to get back at him she tells him she’s with Alex, and when he assumes they are engaged, both Alex and Cass run with it.

The back and forth banter between Alex and Cass had me eating up these pages. And Pinky?!?! Honestly, she was the star of the show! She was sassy, quirky, strong-willed, and the sweetest little girl. To see her relationship blossom with Cass over the course of this book pulled at my heartstrings because you knew they loved each other to their very core.

Connor Crais and Kirsten Leigh brought an unstoppable listen with their performance! It’s been a while since I’ve listened to Connor, but once his voice came through, it felt like being wrapped up in a warm hug. The gruff and dominating tone of his voice gave off the smooth balminess of bourbon. You could hear within Connor’s inflections the love and adornment Alex had for his daughter and the love and respect he had for Cass. Connor’s kids voice was brilliant, and the scene where he was speaking whale had me cracking up!

Kirsten did a phenomenal job in encapsulating Cass’ free-spirited energy and mothering touch. Her unmatched ability to differentiate between all of the female character’s was astounding. I knew which character was speaking at each moment. Kirsten’s kid’s voice for Pinky was undeniably remarkable. Whether Pinky was happy, sad, inquisitive, or a ball of energy, Kirsten captured those emotions flawlessly. This is my first time hearing Kirsten, but it definitely will not be the last. Her performance was other worldly, and I can’t wait to hear more of her work!

If you’re looking for a cute and sweet single dad/nanny, fake engagement, small town romance, then 𝘈 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘛𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘵 is the perfect book for you!

🎧 Narration: omg connor crais’ voice 🫠 he was absolutely perfect for alex - a little gruff but sexy & smooth. SO good. this was my first book with kirsten leigh & i will be keeping my eye out for more bc she was absolutely fantastic. she was wonderful to listen to & she nailed cass.

i adored this book. alex & cass were so swoony & the way they both were with alex’s daughter was just 😍 freaking adorable. i loved the nanny story line & how cass just fit in with them so well right out the gates. the fake engagement part was fun - i love fake dating/marriage of convenience vibes & this one was *chefs kiss.* the ex though. not a villain you love 🤣 that’s for sure. but man alex more than made up for that loser. overall the banter, fake dating vibes, & the forced prox all added up to an absolute delight.
