About this listen

AN INSTANT USA TODAY BESTSELLER!

From Kate Golden, author of viral phenomenon A Dawn of Onyx, comes the unforgettable, epic conclusion to her pulse-pounding Sacred Stones trilogy.

They must save the world—but can they also save each other?

Kane Ravenwood, King of Onyx Kingdom, would go to the ends of the continent for Arwen Valondale, but what if she’s beyond even that? Broken in ways he never imagined he could be, Kane must survive to fulfill the prophecy and kill his father, Fae King Lazarus. After what he's endured, Kane is willing to save all of Evendell by whatever means necessary—even if that spells his own death.

Little does Kane know, he's not the only one desperate for revenge. Arwen is no longer afraid to fight—no sacrifice is too great, no enemy too daunting. Now, nothing will stop her from destroying Lazarus. She’s all too aware that if she fails, both realms will be doomed forever.

With the help of new allies and old friends, Kane and Arwen will see this battle through to the end.

Critic reviews

"A Reign of Rose is the perfect ending to a sensational series—delivering at every turn and hitting every note that had me turning the pages at lightning speed. This series will leave you satisfied and simultaneously bereft when there is no more story to consume, but I trust that whatever Kate Golden has in store for us next will be just as magical as The Sacred Stones series. Kane and Arwen are everything to me, and if I could, I would live in their world forever."—Lana Ferguson, USA Today bestselling author of The Fake Mate

"There's really only one word for this book: wow! A Reign of Rose supplies an exhilarating finale for what has proven to be a truly fabulous romantasy trilogy. Dramatic and thrilling, it took me on an epic emotional ride and left me dazzled in the very best way. Kate Golden hits all the notes of fantasy romance perfectly, and I am so excited for what she writes next!"—India Holton, international bestselling author of The Secret Service of Tea and Treason

A Reign of Rose is everything we wanted, a heart-pounding conclusion to an epic, gloriously sexy series. Kate Golden is an unmissable voice in romantasy and had us relishing the magic on every page.”—Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka, authors of The Breakup Tour

I normally have a hard time with the last book in a series but I feel like this one was lovely!! Everything was tied up beautifully but it didn’t feel like a nonstop battle… Now we need a follow up series for Mari and Griffin… please?!?!

The perfect end

Loved the character interactions, really enjoyed love how it was written and recorded by the readers, and the story was overall good!
As much as I was anticipating the release, I feel like the story was rushed. Too much jumping from city to city. I have no clue how Arwen was still a good fighter when they're moving so much, she barely had time to train.

Felt rushed, but I still enjoyed it

It was more about the journey than the endgame. Beautiful conclusion to the trilogy. Kane & Arwen forever <3

Beautiful end

Good story line. I wish the end tied up better.. I wanted to know Mari and Griffins story so bad. How will they get back to Limara? Who is adilade?

I need a Mari and Griffin ending!

It was a good series overall. There were a few slow spells but overall fairly reasonable main characters and decent pacing of the story line.

Lovely conclusion

I really enjoyed the entire series, but I found the ending to be super rushed and seemed to be setting up a spinoff but nothing has been announced yet. It just seemed like a big emphasis was put on things that didn’t happen during the series.

I’m catching up on reviews so it’s been a couple of weeks since I finished it, and it isn’t super memorable. I totally enjoyed reading it but since it’s a finished series I wouldn’t read it again.

Cute

What a great conclusion to this series. I loved the characters, the lore and the story overall. Kane and Arwen are favorites, as are Dagan and Leigh. I would have loved a deeper insight into Mari and her powers but perhaps they'll be a spin-off... I felt her story and Griffin's was left a bit unresolved. I also wish we could have learned more about Arwen's farher Fae god. I guess not all stories end up tied up with a pretty little bow lol

Great Conclusion to the Trilogy

I like the main characters. There were some parts that seemed rushed or would’ve preferred to be a little more emotional. Overall, satisfied with the ending of the series. I like that everything isn’t all tied up in a neat little bow.

Decent ending
